  • I have started working stretches into my work day, 15 minutes at a time. There are lots of these workouts online that don't require equipment and don't really make me sweat. Here is one I found today Spryliving.com/allovertoner http://www.mayoclinic.com/health/fitness/MY00396. Scroll down to the bottom And you'll see a…
  • I cook extras when I cook main dishes/casseroles and even rice/pasta Sides. Then, I use my vintage 1970's Seal-a-meal to freeze the leftovers into single servings. On evenings when I am busy, I have ready to boil in bag meals ready to go. As for meal planning, I usually log my entire days food in the am and then I know…
  • I don't know anything about hcg, but I have dealt with hunger pains! sweet potatoes have been my solution. And watermelon since it is now in season. You can eat a whole ton of those for few calories. google for high fiber foods and you'll find lists of foods similar to those that will fill you up and help you get past the…
  • My boyfriend bought me the special K challenge cookbook. I have been enjoying the recipes in that book. But, I found their products (shakes and meal bars) to be a little expensive compared to other brands. Definitely look for coupons www.kelloggs.com has a $1 off for 3 cereals.
  • Sounds yummy. I'll be trying it next weekend.
  • Sweet potatoes Watermelon Frozen crushed pineapple (for late night cheats) Jello pudding Brussels sprouts Fat free cool whip with fruit instead of ice-cream
  • Yes, I am very confused about cholesterol numbers! My doctor scribbled on my last report (down arrow) fat (up arrow) exercise followed by his signature I believe by fat he meant the fat on my body, so I am losing weight to improve my cholesterol as well. I find this website helpful:…
  • For me, it is normal not to lose pounds that week. Are you also taking measurements? My waist usually increase that that week, that is normal for me so I don't let it get me frustrated. I set my goal to maintain my current weight and stay on the healthy eating and exercise and it works out fine over the course of the month.
  • I put a "blue ice" refreezable ice pack in my nylon lunch bag and take salads to work. It keeps them cold enough for a few hours until lunch time. I think I found it in the camping gear section of Target.
  • That is so cute. Your outline is adorable. As, for the response, I hope you get to talk to the girl soon. She might be dancing around in it right now! I would be - 5+41 years!
  • iTunes gift card. cute, but cheap jewelry (she's 13 then she'll probably lose it) Perfume (make sure you like it, she's likely to overspray!) Facial mask or manicure kit - maybe you could show her how to use it Books if you know what she likes - I did a big fail one year with the miley Cyrus book! she liked Miley LAST…
  • So, ellehart, what did you choose?
  • well, my experience at a large grocery store chain here in Austin (Texas) is that the stores on the upscale part of town have a larger selection of healthier options for all products. Over here by my office (poor side of town) not so much. This grocery store doesn't even have baked lay's potato chips and I thought those…
  • $2.74??? Wow! What a great bargain! I wish I could find some transition pants for that price. And, that is what they are - transition pants. With a little more effort, you will be disposing of them cuz they'll be too big soon! So, keep your motivation up and keep doing what you are doing!
  • I don't believe one dinner out will derail you, just watch your portions and eat slowly. When you feel full, stop eating. Box up the rest for later. Unfortunately, the menu doesn't list their nutrition information. When you get there, the menu itself might list some items as heart healthy. Look for those (or ask the…
  • Thanks for sharing! I never thought of using mustard as the "sticky" for my oven baked chicken. I had been using olive oil or egg, but mustard would be much tastier!
  • After that first 10 pounds lost (and stayed lost for a month), I bought a pair of gold hoop earrings. After these next 10 pounds stay off for a month, I will get new jeans and work clothes. When I finally lose the last 5 pounds (of belly fat) and keep it off for 3 months, I am going to reward myself with a bracelet. The…

  • Volunteer with an organization you are interested in. It is amazing how moch you can find in common with someone even when you are doing something as simple as picking up litter along the roadside or stuffing envelopes.
  • I repeat to myself "maintain, maintain, maintain" and stay the weight I am for at least a week. Then, look back at ( really old) pictures of myself when I was healthier. If you can't motivate to work out, at least stretch and walk. And, experiment with one new healthy food each day. I found frozen pineapple during one of…
  • I think there are a few keywords like spice - cinnamon and raw - onion. For flour, sometimes just putting the brand name in before makes the list shorter. I also "fudge" it a bit - if something is close in calories, I add that item to my recipe. Hope this helps!
  • When I start craving buttermilk ranch on my salads, I mix up a batch of this: 1 six oz cup of greek style 0% fat yogurt 1/2 cup nonfat buttermilk 1/4 cup reduced fat mayonaise 2 Tbls white wine vinegar 1/2 tsp garlic powder (not garlic salt, but powder) 1/2 tsp black pepper (use fresh ground peppercorns for the best taste)…
  • I hate crunches! At this website: http://www.mydailytrainer.com/my-workouts/featured Look at the low belly breakdown video clip.
  • Thanks for sharing! I am going to try both versions of frozen fiber treats! Mixing the metamucil one tonight.

  • YOU ATE A PEANUT BUTTER CUP!?! Yep, I'm jealous much. New to MFP, but I'll shout at you in ALL CAPS if it helps. please shout back at me too! York peppermint patties are my weakness of the moment - I was going to dig one out of the bottom of my freezer (hidden behind the frozen pineapple) but now that I read your post I…
  • I'm right there with you! I went from 141 to 120 since January. I have 5 more to go! Goal weight is 115. Hard to keep up the motivation and, I know that next 5 is belly fat. That makes it mentally harder for me since the belly fat has been there for ten years! I couldn't lose it ten years ago, so I am hoping I can lose it…
  • Thanks for sharing. Do you add anything specific to your diet (fish oil, almonds, or flax seed) to your diet? My aunt takes fish oil and almonds everyday . A sister told me to take flax seed. Another sister said to just accept the family curse and start taking meds! I am not ready to do that, so very glad to hear of your…
  • Thanks for sharing, I used your recipe this morning and enjoyed them. I put about 1 teaspoon of cinnamon and 1/4 teaspoon of ginger in the mix. The first two crepes were runny and misshapen, but think the skillet just wasn't hot enough. I was dry frying them like pancakes. The other two turned out nicely - both were round…
