Agree you should talk to your doctor but I will give you some tips from my experience. I have 3 kids. With the first two I started at a healthy weight but then pretty much ate whatever I felt like. That combined with an aversion to meat and vegetables while pregnant left me eating lots of things like bread and cheese…

These sound delicious

The short answer is no. What about it makes you feel guilty? The white bread? The calories? If it is either of these then you are being too hard on yourself. First, while some people (even some doctors) will tell you that white bread is bad it is not going to stop you from losing weight on its own. Moderation and balance…

Just want to echo this. I have 3 kids. I lost weight quickly after baby #3 (2/3rds by 6 weeks) and by the time my son was 4 months old I was producing almost no milk. I believe it was a combination of not enough calories & missing some pumping sessions due to my work schedule. It's understandable to want to drop weight…

What about biking? I had the same problem as you not wanting to sacrifice my already limited time with my kids. I recently bought a bike and a bike trailer (carriage for kids) for my little ones. I took my 2 year old in it this past weekend and she enjoyed it. You can buy a bike for around $100 and a bike trailer for about…

Oddly I get more offended by what people say to others than what they say to me.

In your About Me section it says you are 150. That's why I thought that. Glad to know you aren't trying to weight 95lbs :>
-
I looked at your profile. It says you are 5' 7" weighing 150 lbs and want to lose 55lbs. Is that correct? That is a huge drop and would not be a healthy weight for you size. From your profile it sounds like you want to be more toned/muscular. Losing 5-10 lbs would help some but more than that is probably not necessary. You…

What about a float he can sit in? My 2 year old hates life jackets :> Here's an example of one. http://www.amazon.com/Intex-56581EP-Kiddie-Float-years/dp/B006JOKQBO/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1438121204&sr=8-3&keywords=baby+float Even if you only do 15 min that's good. You can combine it with other exercises at home.

I live in San Antonio and have a 6 month old. I would not recommend taking your 8 month old out in the stroller unless you do it early morning. Do you have a pool at your apartment? You could do 20-30 minutes in the pool with baby. Put baby in a float and swim laps pushing the float. Since baby will be in the pool that…

Distract yourself for a bit to see if you are actually hungry. You can try drinking water, going for a walk, watching TV, etc. If you are still hungry after about 30 minutes then you may need the calories. Sometimes we miscalculate what we ate through out the day or burned more than expected and our bodies need a little…

Nestle makes Pure Life Splash flavored waters, 0 calories. They sell them at Walmart. I like the Acai Grape one and the lemon one.

That actually sums is up pretty well.

That's true and I normally do. Sometimes though I see the way people are treated and feel the need to speak up. I'm far from perfect but I find it very sad how some people treat others here. I wish more people tried to write their posts in a way that was helpful to the OP rather than trying to be funny.
-
It's not. As I said in another post I just don't like seeing people get picked on for sharing something that doesn't fit the norm. The fact that we are on the internet doesn't excuse behaving in a way that is rude to others.
-
So I didn't actually call anyone in this thread a jerk. I said the internet doesn't give people a right to be jerks but if I offended anyone I apologize. I have no problem with people debating or challenging what someone posts. I just don't like seeing people get picked on for sharing something that doesn't fit the norm.
-
Why do some people feel the need to poke fun at posts like this? Do I think this particular plan is a miracle cure? No but that's fine that doesn't mean it may not help someone. If you think it's unhealthy or wrong fine ignore it or make a post about why you don't think it's a good idea, minus the sarcasm. Those who…

I recently had to go dairy free for my little one as well. I am also a vegetarian so it was challenging. I found some good recipes on pinterest. It took me a couple tries to make it more than a week. My son was very fussy and woudn't nurse. He would arch his back and cry and was very gassy so I eliminated dairy. Recently…

I've found that learning how to freeze leftovers helps a lot. The problem in my house was waste. I've found that rice casseroles and soups freeze well. Below are a couple recipes I make then freeze often. I usually freeze 2-4 servings which is then my lunch for work or a quick meal for me if my family wants to eat…

The post you linked here has information saying the diuretic effect is minimal which indicates it exists not that it is non-existent. I indicated in my posts that it has a small effect. I agree with you on most points just not that the point that is not at all dehydrating.
-
I'm not here trying to argue but you seem really adamant about saying it's not dehydrating when it can be. I agree that the casual caffeine drinker doesn't need to worry about it but it's not completely accurate to say it isn't dehydrating.
-
It's not black and white. It can be dehydrating in larger quantities but a glass or two shouldn't have much of an impact.
-
I don't count it as water but instead log it but that's just personal preference. In regards to what some have I wanted to point out two things. Tea/caffeine can dehydrate but in large quantities. A glass or two will not have a large effect on hydration. Second the 8 glasses of water "rule" is not always necessary. Urine…

Agree with others who said talk to a doctor but in the mean time I would say increase your water intake and try Miralax. My daughter was having similar problems and here's what the doctor suggested. 2 weeks of taking miralax then ensuring you get enough fiber daily. She said if you increase fiber before dealing with the…

If you are asking about healthier options Mcalisters Deli is a good place to get food fast. They offer food that is reasonably healthy but make sure you check the nutrition before ordering since they do offer some high calorie stuff.

Losing weight after having a baby isn't always black and white. I know the popular theme on MFP is calories in vs calories out and if you're not losing then you're doing something wrong but that isn't always the case in my experience. Hormones play a big role in weight and hormones can be crazy after having a baby. The…

Why are some people getting so caught up on the word "trick"? What if we substitute tip instead? Here are some "tips" for losing weight/being healthier: -weigh/measure your food to ensure accurate logging -log daily if possible -Work to be more active/exercise more (which can include taking the stairs, parking further…
