My company really promotes being active, given that we're all at desks it's helpful! We have fitness centers in the office building with cardio, weights, group classes and a great trail system for walking. Very fortunate! I make a point to walk during lunch, or walk up to the top floor to fill my water bottle, etc. Helps…

Anyone is free to add me. I'm 34 pounds into a 100 pound weight loss journey. Come on along for the ride!

This was extremely helpful knowledge. I didn't know the connection between the two! I've really dialed back lunch meats, breads/rolls and for that matter sandwiches overall. Those are three of the AHA's 'Salty Six'. The others being pizza (personal vice!), poultry and canned soup. I always consider the day's meals a…

My go-to afternoon snack is cottage cheese with yogurt and fresh fruit. Fills in the gap between lunch and dinner with a good dose of protein and carbs without a huge calorie hit.

Spaghetti squash. I'm not a fan of roasted squash like butternut, acorn, hubbard. So when spaghetti squash came on the scene, I wasn't exactly thrilled. Turns out its in our weekly meal rotation now! I really enjoy all the things that can be done with those suckers!

I'll chime in with the others who've said it: raw spinach over lettuce for salads all the way! My wife and I eat pounds of raw spinach for lunches every week. Other side bonus: the pre-washed, organic baby spinach we buy comes in a handy, recyclable plastic box that makes keeping it in the fridge easy!

Hello - I'm down 28 pounds, with 70 more to go. I'm active and log my food daily - diary is open to friends. Anyone is free to add me! Greg

I honestly had no idea how much sodium I was putting into myself. I don't salt my food - its was the lunch meat and bread I'd have for lunch, the take-out food, the 'low fat' foods, and lest I forget cheese!. Really eye opening! Eating more cleanly cut that way down (along with tons of extra calories!)

I was at my desk at work in Kansas City. My newborn had just had his one-week check up at the pediatrician. We were released from the office shortly after the first tower fell. I made it home in time to witness the second one fall. The pain of that day lingers.

Me too - feel free to add! Only caveat is that your food diary is available to peek at - I've got mine open to all who friend me. Best accountability there is!

I'm 26 pounds in to a 95 pound journey. I log all my meals, and I'm active on the application every day. It will change your life, I swear. Anyone is free to add me. All I ask is that your food diary is open - that's key to an accountability system :)

I've been keeping an eye on my sodium levels, too. Most everything has some amount of sodium in it. Since you don't add extra salt to your food, that's a huge win. I've been really reading the sodium levels in the foods I consume, and making adjustments to my meals. It seems 'light' foods have a higher sodium content. My…

It's gotta be metal to get the blood flowin'!!! \m/ And if it's too loud, it's just about right. Ozzy's Boneyard on XM has all kinds of great tunes, as does Liquid Metal.

Our Breville Juice Fountain Plus is a centrifuge juicer and we like it. Pros: Good pricepoint, juices things easy, easy to use. Cons: hard to juice the leafy greens well, can be a bit messy. As Joe the Juicer likes to say - "Juice On"!

Yes - this!!

Feel free to add me - the more friends, the more accountability!

I definitely do. Saturday's I give myself the opportunity to eat what I like, and I still track what I eat on those days. It serves two purposes for me; 1 - the psychological side that gets to eat / drink what I want without feeling bitter about completely excluding things from my life 2 - the realization of all of those…

Weekly (same day, same time) is what I do. I personally don't see the value in weighing multiple times a week or per day.
