The nice thing about exercising along side watching calories is that I definitely note fitness progress prior to being able to visually see any progress.

My husband is the same way. I have certain foods that I will only eat with him, but I have finally divorced my eating from his eating. It can be sad sometimes when we are eating together and he gets way more, but I now just don't eat what he is snacking on. If it looks good, I either ask for one bite or work it in for…

It took a long time until I was really ready to hear it, but as I have improved, I have found the Intuitive Eating book a decent tool. It really depends on where one is starting, though. I also like Abbey Sharp's youtube series on intuitive eating. Actually, I generally like her channel, but watching her analyze other…

Have you looked for knee strengthening exercises to do while waiting for your bike? Is physical therapy appropriate for you? Like @girlwithcurls2 , I have put the scale away for awhile to just focus on my healthier habits, and not the numbers bouncing up and down with each change to my daily schedule or hormone swings.

Intermittent fasting is a tool to limit your calories by limiting the time you are allowed to eat. It works just as well to limit your calories by counting them and in fact some people end up overeating with intermittent fasting because they think they can eat however much they want and restricting the time will magically…

I didn't have a chance, as none of the women around me had a healthy relationship with food. My grandmother was a binge eater (~300lbs) and my Mom went from anorexia to binging and even had a bout with what was basically bulimia when I was a teenager, right as I was finally on a reasonably healthy path myself. She found…

Limiting two macros at a time makes for a very limited diet, you certainly have my sympathy. And a good, hearty pat on the back for controlling the pre diabetes while dealing with so much else! Beans may be a good option for all of your issues, but you will probably have to prepare them at home and for canned, look for no…

But you could be getting in your exfoliating with your ride!

I bet someone who is trained to swim would burn fewer calories than me getting across the pool. However, I attribute this entirely to form. If I hold a board or noodle and do frog kicks, I either stay in place or move backwards. I have tried to get a few swimmers to help me, but they are too busy laughing to offer helpful…

I am not sure if you are eating the foods you are because you don't like to cook or because you think these are "diet foods." If the latter, just no. Build a healthy diet, rather than a crash diet because you will eventually crash. Unless you have a medical condition such as kidney disease, your body will thank you for…

Are there foods you are eliminating when you are trying to lose weight? Are you avoiding alcohol? In addition to "practicing maintenance" as a calorie goal, you can practice everyday by incorporating foods you enjoy into your regular diet. Then, when you up your calorie goal, you can increase all foods proportionately.

I mostly do yoga for my bodyweight exercises. Other than that, I am just into squats and push ups. Never really got into anything else.

I just use our largest kitchen knife, which cuts about one radius at a time. It isn't usually particularly solid by the time I have gotten it home and gotten everything else out away. I do the same thing with my husband's dairy free cheese cake, but that tends to be a bit more solid.

Our boat has a couple of "closets" that are deeper than my arms are long. Today, I was able to get my upper body into the closet so that I could reach the back and work on some wiring, rather than waiting for my husband to have time to help me.

I doubt you will find a bike for your weight at Walmart. Do some research on what other people your size find comfortable, then look on ebay and craigslist, etc. Once you have the bike, you will likely have to experiment a bit with saddles, but try the one it comes with for awhile to see if you adjust to it with time.

I wonder how far and how many hills on my bike it would take to have pad thai and Coldstone without spiking my sugar levels for a week? Better get training so that I can test this!

I want to read what she is reading to get her HR up that high! Or maybe not, lately it seems to be the news that gets me worked up and I just don't need any more of that kind of racing HR.

It doesn't sound like you are too far off. However, if you still want to increase: -when I use protein shakes, I look for ones with fiber in them -I sometimes do chia porridge or pudding, rather than oatmeal, or add chia or flax to the oatmeal -I add various seeds to my salads

Although this is what I was using for the last month, it did not have enough of a laxative effect to counteract my PMS constipation. However, I have ordered a magnesium glycinate supplement to start when it arrives.

800 calories may be overeating, but it isn't a binge, so you are good there. Are you eating back your exercise calories every day?

I suck at noticing the changes until my pants fall off. I am only wearing yoga pants these days, but there was one pair I had to give up on and another that will have to go soon. When I do want to go out again, I won't have any jeans or dresses, just yoga and hiking pants!

15 lbs in 2 months is great! Your calorie goal seems really low, but I am left wondering how you are doing on portion sizes. Do you weigh and measure your food, drinks and condiments?

I buy my favorite frozen pizza and cut it up as soon as I get home. Then, when I am ready for pizza, I can prepare one slice at a time.

If OP genuinely has hyperlordosis, they are unlikely to be able to achieve proper form for planks until they have addressed that.

With a headache. Yoga did not help :( Pretty sure the problem is the changing weather, not anything that I did wrong.
-
Is the cardio new? Have you added fiber to your diet? A lot of changes can cause you to retain water while your body adjusts, masking fat loss.

I don't know if my husband just grew up listening to things his older sisters said or if he looks things up online to try to be supportive, but I once complained about not losing weight over a few weeks despite doing everything right and he suggested I might have put on muscle. Oh, boo, if only!

Calories in calories out is what will help you lose weight. The exercise will only work in conjunction with calories consumed. The exercises that I enjoy: -walking -biking -dancing -Ring Fit Adventure and Just Dance on my Switch -yoga (Yoga with Adrienne videos available on youtube) -Zumba and other dance videos on youtube…

Type II, lifestyle control (no meds) I found that when I was tracking, it worked well for me to set the macros at about 34/33/33 and to consider carbs a maximum, protein a minimum and not really worry much at all about the fat. I believe the premium allows you to set up carb goals per meal, but I wouldn't swear to that. I…

I put my scale under the bed for the month of March to focus on keeping up my healthy habits. Just letting you know an alternative to the weight trend apps listed above. I think both are tools that help keep your focus long term.
