  • I would like to say that my husband has always been supportive of my weight loss but I can't specifically say that. He was supportive while he was deployed, not so much when he got home. And to be honest, I wasn't that supportive of his healthy lifestyle either. I cooked and tried to cook well for us but the exercise part…
  • Chicken is the only time my husband is a breast man. I prefer the boneless, skinless thighs too. Preferably cooked in the crockpot with Italian dressing and soy sauce for 6-8 hours on low.
  • I have always done the squats first. But the other 2 or 3 (depending on if I have added additional lifts) I have moved around depending on where I was. If I'm at the gym, it's squats, deads then OH press. If I'm at home, it's squats, OH press, then deads. I move out of the squat rack for my OH press at the gym since we…
  • I'm not a fan of meal replacements. I do like their "liftoff" tablets for the energy. Not sure if it's any better than having an energy drink but it does give me a boost around 2:00 in the afternoon. I made the mistake once of saying that I needed a better tasting protein shake instead of the one I was drinking. What…
  • iPhone has an app that includes both SS and SL called Strength Club. You get SS Novice for free and have to pay for SS Advanced and SL. OP, I have personally used SL when I started lifting in July of 2014. I really enjoyed the program and improved my strength. I took time off from lifting heavy from March 2016 through…
  • Get back to where I was weight wise, lifting wise and body comp wise prior to getting pregnant. And then continue getting leaner.
  • Get a significant other that gets up for work at 5:00 AM. My husband and my son, who sleeps in our room, both wake up around 5:00 AM. So I'm up with them. I take a pre-workout before I head to our garage to workout. By the time I'm done with my workout, my son has put himself back to sleep in his bouncer, while he's in the…
  • I like food too much to just diet. And I like the feeling I get after a work out. Although I understand not having the energy. I have a 2 month old and as much as I would love to get in the gym every morning at 6:00 am, 4 hours a sleep on a regular basis just doesn't help much with that. Kudos to you though on still…
  • I did the SL 5x5 program for a year before my husband and I found out we were pregnant. I got more definition and got smaller opposed to getting bigger.
  • At 26 weeks, I have gained 15 lbs.
  • I too was told that I could continue my lifting workout with modifications. Squats are now done on a smith machine with dramatically less weight than what I was doing before and I have moved to more dumbbell and machine work that my stronglifts routine. I'm in my 3rd trimester now and not lifting anywhere near what I was…
  • I go in tomorrow for my 12 week appointment. Still not showing although I'm feeling every bit of this baby. Husband thought he hid the scale from me. He forgets that I'm the one that gathers our clothes and found the scale under the bed. :) So I stepped on the scale yesterday morning. I have put on 3.8 lbs so far but I…
  • We also had our first ultrasound yesterday. EDD for us is still 11/1. According to my last cycle, I am 8 weeks today. According to the size of my sweet baby, I am 7 weeks and 5 days as of today. Doc said since the dates were so close she was going to keep the due date at 11/1. Because I had both of my daughters at 38…
  • I have used the excuse that my husband left his tools in my space which prevented me from working out this week. He was kind enough to put them away last night after he finished working on his truck. So now I have no excuse. lol Luckily, I have never had to experience morning sickness with any of my children. My…
  • I think I may have added a pound or two. Right now, I'm at about 6w2d. Lifting has been difficult to stay on track with because I'm very tired. Plus running around with our two older daughters and their softball schedules, it's quite exhausting.
  • I will be glad when the I'm past the tiredness. Although I am getting enough sleep in these days. Normally I get between 6-7 hours of sleep a night and lately I've been getting my 8 hours or more. Husband asked me today if I had thought about baby announcements for us to tell our families. So can you guess what I'll be…
  • My first appointment isn't for another 2 weeks. I have actually been blessed with not suffering from any morning sickness with any of my children so far. Although this baby has drained me of all my energy. I find myself going to sleep super early these days. Hope all is well with you and yours. I have sent over a fitbit…
  • I'm 5 weeks, 2 days along with my 3rd child. Husband and I are excited to added a 3rd to our bunch. We have 2 older daughters ages 13 and 10 and they are very excited as well.
  • Yes, what they said. I was told to do first whatever my focus was because I will more than likely cut time short on whatever comes second.
  • Absolutely not! Enjoy yourself and the time with your husband.
  • I am built like the third one. Wider hips, big legs and broad shoulders is what I have come to embrace. Glad my husband is butt/leg man.
  • I run in my neighborhood with my dog. I have run on occasion by myself but I wasn't too big of a fan. At this point, I would just get a treadmill if my dog couldn't run with me. My boyfriend is deploying soon and the last thing I need is for him to worry too much about me.
  • I weigh in weekly on a Friday morning before I head to the gym.
  • I have two daughters ages 9 and 12 and they workout with me often. The 9 year old stretches with me when I get home from the gym and uses bands on occasion. My 12 year old does lift weights with me but on a very low scale. Please continue to encourage the health and fitness aspect of life. Obesity is a very real thing in…
  • I want a weight lifting belt, straps and 2 hours at the gym instead of taking my kid to mandatory practice.
  • I have the Stronglifts 5x5 app. It's available on iPhone and Android. I also have an app called SworkIt that links to MFP. It has cardio, stretching, yoga and build your own programs. Runkeeper has a C25k option and of course runkeeper links with MFP as well. I have an android phone so I'm not sure about SworkIt and iPhone.
  • No. Never. It's either whole egg or no egg for me and my family. :)
  • Corona - preferably cold, light taste with lime and salt Blue Moon - preferably cold, citrusy taste with orange
  • Working then practice for either one or both of my daughters.
