  • I read positive reviews about this on Skwigg's blog, she is someone whose opinion I respect (http://skwigg.tripod.com/blog/). I have not tried it yet but sometime I might!
  • I am in my final weeks of a p90x challenge and am planning to pick up Turbo Fire next. I've heard nothing but great reviews so I am really excited to start!
  • You can find the calendar here: http://www.docstoc.com/docs/5106828/ChaLean-Workout-Program-Calendar
  • You have 30 days to return it. If you don't like it, why don't you send it back?
  • I am in week 11 of round 1, doing Lean. I am going to do a second round and go Classic next time. I agree that Chest & Back on Day 1 probably would have scared the crap out of me too! I don't think that workout is until week 10 on Lean!
  • I've been MIA! My parents were visiting this week so not much computer time. I did still get my workouts in, I opted to sleep in wednesday though and never got it done so that is going to be my rest day this week. Day 74 here! Only a few weeks left! Today was Core Synergistics, I had a rough workout because I enjoyed a…
  • I used a 20% off coupon at bed bath & beyond to buy the Iron Gym pullup bar.
  • Sounds like your Kenpo workout went better than mine. It was just kinda "blah" today. But rest til Monday now!
  • I took this 5 years ago to quit smoking. I actually lost weight, it completely killed my appetite (I lost about 20 pounds in 8 weeks) but I had some other side effects too. I woke up almost every night at around 2am. Sometimes for a short period of time, sometimes for hours. I also had horribly dry mouth for about 2 weeks…
  • I do them with one leg on the chair now. I started with the band (using the heaviest resistance I had) and felt the same way. Unfortunately I don't think Tony does a great job of explaining how to use the band for pullups. I am doing Lean and in one of the later Back DVDs he explains that you should be bent over with your…
  • Wow another p90x program? I wonder why? How long has p90x plus been out on the market? I think at this point I am more interested in doing some hybrid p90x programs. A guy friend of mine just started p90x this week. Surprisingly (to me) he enjoys the cardio DVDs and doesn't really like the lifting days. I am kind of the…
  • Oh man, I cannot do that rock star hop thing AT ALL! I look like such a fool! LOL. I love the Heisman, for some odd reason. Back & Biceps, ARX done! I did enjoy B&B, I am not crazy about pullups though. Still doing them assisted with a chair. I did the corn cob pullup for the first time, that is hard with the type…
  • If you are working out and not eating for 2-3 hours afterward, you definitely need some sort of recovery drink. Chocolate milk works, as does grape juice + half scoop vanilla whey (this is what I use).
  • I had outpatient surgery in the middle of may, during my recovery week. I was off for 3 days. I also took a mini-vacation the first week of June and was off for another 3 days. I don't feel like either has hindered my progress, but 3 days is different than 10! I hope you can pack your stuff and make some time to do a…
  • I am in Week 9. My advice for sticking with it is to get in the groove of doing it first thing in the morning. Even though I am a SAHM, I get up at 5am to get my workout done before my daughter wakes up (she is an early riser, unfortunately). If I wait until later in the day, chances are time will get away from me and I…
  • Polar makes a great product and has a good warranty. I started with an F4 and upgraded to an F11 a few years later, but it actually has more bells and whistles than what I need.
  • I am in Week 9. I am not taking any of the BB supplements. I take a daily multivitamin and I have read the best "budget-friendly" recovery drink is an 8 oz glass of grape juice with half scoop of vanilla whey protein powder mixed in. I only do this on tough workout days, though (lifting days and Plyo). Eating clean is…
  • Oh man, me too Jill! And now I think about you each time I do them!
  • I am on Day 60 of my first p90x round. I too was also intimidated before I started. The best part about this workout is that Tony encourages you to just TRY. Don't let negative thoughts enter your head and make you think you can't do something. Try it and you might be surprised. Case in point, there is one pushup in the…
  • Every time.
  • Alright kids, where are you all ?? Yesterday was my 40th bday so I chose to sleep in and take the day off from exercise and logging. :drinker:  This morning back at it bright and early. Core Synergistics done, I love this workout! I am getting better at Sphinx Pushups (finally!).
  • If I were going to do doubles, that is how I would proceed with the program.
  • There are a lot of home videos that require not many accessories for less than $100 total (video and all). I would suggest looking at some of the options on Beachbody.com. Power90, Turbo Jam, and Slim in 6 are some options to look at that would be great total body workouts for minimal investment.
  • Patty - those are great results!!! I completed Shoulders & Arms, and Ab RipperX. I am pleased with the improvements I have made since the last time I did this workout. I am SO SORE from Monday's workout though, especially my back under my arms. I think it was from those goofy Divebomber pushups!! I am really…
  • Patty - I am in Week 9 of Lean for all the same reasons as you (can't remember why I chose it  ). I contemplated switching to Classic for Phase 3 but my spreadsheet would get all screwed up so I am sticking it out on Lean (yes, I am that anal-retentive  ). I will probably do a second round as Classic. I have…
  • I can't do the Oblique V-up, I look so stupid!!
  • Chest & Back completed (this was my first time doing this workout). Tough workout and I woke up with a pounding headache, which didn't help. I did not get Ab Ripper done because the baby woke up at the end of my workout.
