I only eat actual nut butters because peanut butter isn't a great source of protein and is actually anti nutritious. It's sucking the life out of all the work you're doing trying to put in good minerals.

Pick one day every week and step on it first thing in the morning (preferably naked or in the same thing each time) then to record your weight. I think it will matter on WHAT you're eating so late at night. If it's right after a work out be sure you're getting in lots of protein to help keep the metabolism working as you go to sleep. The only thing that keeps me motivated is God. I find on days when I'm not spending time with him I'm eating more and moving less. I know I should turn to him more when I'm being tempted but sometimes I want to be tempted! lol Give me the cake! But if it weren't for him I wouldn't be making any progress.

Bread's not exactly bad for you though, nor is pasta. So long as it's whole wheat it's actually an excellent source of fibre. I found cutting something out completely made me just want to binge on it. So I found substitutes in stead. Whole wheat pizza bases, whole wheat garlic bread, whole wheat durum pasta.
