Thanks so much! I need to read these every day so I don't freak out as I try to gain muscle after big weight loss.

Peanut butter came as a huge shock to me, too! :o

Agreed! Slow and steady is great. This really helped me get started and decided the pace for me: djsteveboy.com/intervals.html

Congratulations! Inspirational!

I had to do the same thing! Left a big old vat of it out on the trash can hoping someone would take it.

I had a lot of luck using this take on the same idea: http://www.djsteveboy.com/intervals.html Don't be afraid to repeat weeks as needed. I certainly did.

I think this is a common occurrence. Hang in there. Change makes people uncomfortable. I just say thank you. If they push, I let them know that, while they may be uncomfortable, my doctor and I are ecstatic. Good job and here's to your continued success!

Mine's open.

Congratulations! Nicely done.

You're describing your frustration with my sole motivation.

This is my way of thinking as well.

Congrats! Well done.

Amazing and inspiring and all the other good things folks have said here. Thanks for posting and happy anniversary!

I've had great luck with Podrunner Intervals. They take you pretty gently up to 5k (and then onward if you desire). These mixes combined with MFP have really, really helped. http://www.djsteveboy.com/intervals.html
