Also, I tried different protein shakes when I was on my diet. Muscle milk was one of them and I found out today that it contains hazardous metals in it. That could also be a factor to both of our Diverticulitis situations.

I too was consuming mass amounts of protein shakes and ended up in the hospital with diverticulitis/ peritonitis. I had to have surgery and a portion of my large intestines removed. I am told it is rare to have this at my age so I too am wondering if there is a correlation between protein shakes and diverticulitis.…
