  • You can use it as a substitute for cream cheese in sushi. I put it in my homemade California sushi rolls... :) Spread it on a bagel, then layer some sprouts/microgreens on it, tomato slice, cucumber slices, onion slices, and some bacon for a delicious bagel sandwich. Or skip the bacon and make it vegetarian! :D Spread it…
  • 24 here; feel free to add me! I log everyday. :)
  • Food fail? I wouldn't call it a fail; probably more of an indulgence. I had two European cookies covered in Belgian chocolate today, which set me over about 50 calories. No regrets, whatsoever. Those cookies were awesome.
  • Ooooh I forgot to add, my older brother's "frogs skin dish" after making some Vietnamese caramelized frogs legs. Frogs legs are yum but the skin.... Now that was weird... even for me.
  • I ate **Japanese sweet potato simmered in coconut milk. Omggg It was awesome. :D
  • I ate Japanese sweet yams simmered in coconut milk. Omggg It was awesome. :D
  • I ate Japanese mountain sweet yams simmered in coconut milk. Omggg It was awesome. :D
  • THIS: http://thepioneerwoman.com/cooking/2010/09/my-favorite-meatloaf/ It's not healthy at all but it's soooo delicious!!
  • Yummm.... I love balut! I haven't had that in a while. My other favorite "weird" (ahem... normal for me) foods: - Japanese natto beans (fermented, slimy, potent) - Silkworm cocoons (stir fried, of course) - Congealed pork blood - Blood sausage - Vietnamese raw blood soup (from ducks) - Sea snails (childhood favorite) -…
  • One day isn't that bad, especially in the long run. Like today for instance, I'm going to a Goodbye dinner party at a restaurant/bar for a few of my co-workers who are leaving. I don't plan on restricting or thinking about nutrition... Lol. And I'm okay with it because I know this is a rare occasion for everyone at my work…
  • I got Singapore! COOL. I always wanted to learn their traditional dance!!
  • Yeah, somewhat... When I get really, really sad or depressed, I tend to lose my appetite and can go for days not eating and only drinking minimal water. It's rare though; last time this happened was a year ago! Not sure if it's a medical thing though... might just be psychological.
  • My mom to my dad (with me in hearing distance): "She's getting fatter; that's why she started running." Yeah, well mom, I am getting a little chubbier but that is not the only reason I am starting to run again. Yeah, losing a few pounds would be great, but my main reason is that I do not want to get diabetes... I don't…
  • What are you planning to use the sugar for? I use dried fruits in my baking and mainly coconut sugar for the lower GI in my cooking, however, I go easy on the coconut sugar too. I get most of my "sugars" from fresh fruits.
  • You do know those women in the magazines are photoshopped right? They may look glamorous but it's all fake. You have a wonderful body! The more you say you hate your body, the cycle of hatred will continue. Are you really going to be happy with yourself even if you get thinner?
  • Co-worker (struggling with her weight): "America is fat because people can't walk anywhere without being afraid of getting mugged, raped or killed." When someone tried to argue with her, telling her that is just an excuse to not go for a jog outside, she replied with, "it's not an excuse at all! Especially for a woman like…

  • Blend it in with some frozen bananas/mangoes/cherimoya and you get yummy fruit ice ceam!!
  • Well that was pretty rude of the janitor to ask you that. Some bullies asked me the same thing before when I was in high school. There's no shame in complaining every now and then, especially if you have people around you who comments like this!! As long as you keep pulling yourself back up and get back on track.
  • I ignore the sugar in my logs...or at least I've set it to 100 g just so I don't have to see the red letters/numbers. lol. Reason is, I rarely eat processed sugar but instead, I eat lots of fruit and that still adds up quickly. At the same time, I feel so much more energetic eating fruit sugar than when I ate mostly added…

  • I used to down 3 gigantic costco pizza slices with a side salad during pizza parties at my workplace (while my co-workers sit in awe with their mouths open). My boss even asked me if I wanted to join an eating contest with him before. Lol... Since I've been trying to get back to normal portion sizes, I find that I am no…
  • I've posted this in another thread already but I'll post it again here! - Park far away from your workplace and brisk walk/run there. - Take walks during your break times/lunchtime. Or, you can even bring your running shoes and go for a jog during your breaks. - If you work in a high rise building, you can also climb the…
  • Make your own bread! That way, you can add almost any veggies/nuts/cheese you want to it. I make mine with different types of alternative flours. Lately I'm obsessed with chickpea flour. I make simple tortillas out of them along with ground flax seeds and it's great as a nutty-tasting wrap or pizza dough! And you only need…
  • Yeah I agree, when you're tiny, a few pounds does make a large difference on how you look. I'm 4'9 and am usually 100 pounds but when I gained up to 7 pounds in college, you can really see how much fat got stuck on my arms and tummy. Compared to my other siblings, I'm considered the chubby child in my family. :x
  • I have an office job too!! I know it's hard but it does help to get up every now and then and do something. Sometimes, when I'm sorting paperwork, I like to stand rather than sit. On my breaks, I climb/jog up the stairs in my building, about 10 minutes both times (I work in a high rise building). Now that's a work out....…

  • Whatever floats people's boats. Fat, thin, average, extraterrestrial, whatever. I'd rather people have a healthy self-esteem and I'd rather others do not put them down and discriminate them based on looks.
  • Ehh... I have mixed emotions with pizza. It depends on what kind for me. Overly salty, meaty, oily and/or cheesy pizza makes me nauseous. I love different variations though, like marinara pizza with loads of veggies or jalapeno, chicken, garlic pizza. I also like anchovies and mushrooms and olives!! I used to make my own…
  • Usually around 1100 to 1400. Before calorie counting, some days, especially when I'm alone on the weekends, I just don't feel like eating or I forget to eat and I'd have to force myself. And then there were other days where I gorge myself on food! I really like MFP because it keeps my eating habits stable. Lol...
  • Woke up, got ready for work, commute to work. Parked my car and ran to work (was late; stupid traffic) --> 7 minutes Break time at work so I jogged up the stairs (I work in a 25 story high rise building :D) --> 6 minutes up, 5 minutes down 2nd break at work and I climbed stairs again --> 7 minutes up, 6 minutes down After…
  • I don't really like to drink anything besides water. I mean, I can drink anything but I prefer plain water the most. Fruit juices are too sweet or sour. Health smoothies are considered meals to me so not something I'd drink all day. I'm not that big on tea. I only drink hot non-caffeinated tea during the winter and during…
  • My co-worker was talking about it and she described it as a cult or some type of brain-washing scheme. LOL. She told me how ever since her friend started Shakeology, it's like her friend attributed all the good things in life to Shakeology and tried to sell it to everyone she knew.
