Depends on the biker. Most welcome new bikers, and it doesn't matter what you wear, as long as you're having fun... although, I have heard people make fun of others who buy high-end bikes, all the flashy gear, and have no clue why they did or what they're doing... I believe the term is "Fred". Sounds like you've got…

I use "My Tracks" which is OK... my friends us endomondo, which I haven't used yet, but they rave about.

There's nothing other than hard work and patience that will get rid of fat in any area. You'll get there eventually.

If I were to buy a second piece of equipment for the home, I'd get a stationary bike or stepper (if you can find a decent one), to get different movement. It's fun to switch things up. Ellipticals and treadmills are essentially the same movement. One just has less impact than the other.

Awesome! I am too familiar with that there device you're hooked up to in the before pic, and I'm hoping for the same outcome as you! Nice job!

Having one day every now and then isn't bad... a lot of people have a "cheat" day, as long as it doesn't get out of control. It's better to think of it that way. But only cheat a little. Banking doesn't really work. Your body doesn't care about what you did 3 days ago (as far as calorie consumption is concerned). Remember,…

I don't know... it looks like you're pretty on with the 1500 ish calories a day. You could try bumping it up a little closer to your goal for the day. MFP adds all that stuff up so you don't have to think about it. Your sugars tend to run over. You might want to watch starchy stuff like fruits and potatoes. Fruits are…

I cut them in 1/2 and dig in with a spoon... I get a lot of O.o when people see me eating it like that.

187 * 0.8 = 150 That's where you want to be, especially if you're not an athlete.

You don't want to run over 80% max for normal training... so, you need to take that number and multiply by .8 to get the actual top number. I think the actual range you want to be in is 60% - 80% of max, 60 on the "fat burning" side, 80 on the "cardio" side, which I've never understood... if I'm doing cardio, aren't I…

I think local law enforcement should apply traffic laws to these kinds of people. I know there are some laws that prohibit such *kitten*-hattery, but most of the time you can do it in front of police and they don't know or do anything about it.

Your feelings are justified. I used to mountain bike a lot. Proper etiquette is to yield to pedestrians, and if you're approaching from behind, you should announce "On your left/right" depending on which side you're coming in on. I encountered horse back riders on trails too.... horses are jumpy, and you should be extra…

Web: At the bottom of your Food tab, there's a "View Full Report" button... that will show, if you select the day. Android: Home -> Daily iOS: No clue...

anything like brown rice ( or true whole wheat bread ) is always better than white( rice or bread ). It may be more calories, but it's a complex carb vs. a simple carb. The body has to work harder to get to the sugar for a complex carb, and the fiber helps to keep you feeling full on top of being good for "keeping you…

Try changing your workout routine to something new... I used to mountain bike all the time, and it got easy for me. Then I switched to running, and it started a whole new set of (fun) pain :-)
