Seriously? You actually believe that? This is very inaccurate. I am 5'6" and when I was in peak physical shape, I was still very broad shouldered for a girl and had a "sturdy" build. I was very thin and muscular, but have never weighed less than 145. Yet most women my height would not look thin at that weight. My mom is…

Pfffffftt....... I would have walked out as soon as he made that comment. You deserve a real man.

Start by cutting down and replace what you cut out with water. Drink as much water as you can. This was difficult for me, as I didn't drink water at all before. Best thing I've ever done for myself, though. I am healthier on so many levels now that I drink only water for the most part. Well, plus 1 coffee in the morning.…

Excellent article. Personally, I am a firm believer in both common sense and everything in moderation. Carbs and dairy are the 2 things I cut down on in my diet and I've dropped the pounds pretty quickly. We eat all kinds of different stuff, whatever we want. I cook at home though and use those "whole foods". i.e., Foods…

Thanks for the info. I was really baffled as to the how of the matter. Makes sense now, knowing that the fat cells are holding water. Now if I could just figure out where they came from, since the tape measure has stalled out as well. Sometimes it just doesn't pay to be curious. Lol Thanks for the congrats,…

If you like it, wear it. I've had mine since I was young and have no intentions of getting rid of it. Even though it's rarely seen these days. Lol
-
I have to disagree. You have great results so far. :-) Keep up the good work.

Wow. That just sucks. If I were in your shoes, I would probably sit my mother down for a talk. Remind her you are a grown woman now and the choices you make about what to eat and how to care for your body are just that, YOURS. My other plan of action would be to get my ducks in a row and move out. It will be much harder…

^This is kind of how I feel about it. That's why it frustrates me so. Plus, even though I'm home, I do work out of my house. So it's not like I'm only cooking, cleaning, and caring for kids. I put in a good 30 - 35 hours a week of actual work time, too. I just don't get to leave the house to work.
-
I didn't say it was a vacation. Just meant I don't understand why he, or anyone, would not want to spend time with their kids after not seeing them all week. My oldest was in Kindergarten last year and I missed the heck out of him when he was gone all day.

After basically not sleeping for a year, due to my youngest not sleeping, I booked myself a hotel room and slept as long as I could for the first time in 6 years. Getting a full nights rest kind of woke my mind up a bit and I started really noticing the damage I had done to my body by not eating, sleeping, or excercising…

Did you tell him he gets 8 hours a day away from the kids? Lol I work at home, so I get where you're at with the kiddo attached to your hip 24/7. I don't think they understand how draining it can be to never be alone. That's the reaction I get when I actually ask to do anything alone, like say run to he grocery store w/o…

To clarify, I use the T.V. because I use my Zumba with the Kinnect on my Xbox. Sure, I could do something else, but I like the Zumba and I think I should be able to use my Xbox for it. Besides, no matter what I do, they can't really watch T.V. if I'm working out because I would be blocking their view. Wasn't joking about…

Sorry about the novels. :blushing: Guess you all know I really am alone with kids all the time. lol Give me a chance to talk to adults and I just don't shut up. haha

The rest of you had some great suggestions that are kind of what I'm working towards. Part of our problem is that our family has outgrown our little house. We all have to share the living area because that's all that's left. Everything else is kitchen or bedroom. We are looking for another house, but for now it is what it…

Wow guys! Thanks for all the support and advice! I really just wrote this because I knew nobody's feelings would be hurt by my venting my frustrations, since I don't actually know anyone on here. Tulipz, thanks. Sounds like we're definitely in the same boat. HUGS back at you! :flowerforyou: My family has definitely gotten…

I'm afraid my boys don't want to workout with me. Sometimes the kids will join me, but usually they want nothing to do with the workout. I wish they were more interested, but they are young and just don't have the attention span. As for my guy, he just wants no part of it. I have talked with him about it, but he is being…

Gaming, book reading, MTG playing, Sy-Fy loving, geeky gal present and accounted for. Started with 70 lbs. to lose myself, but am down 16. Feel free to add me. :-)

That was a fast reply! Thanks. That is what I suspected after everything I read. So, how do you get a realistic number for calories burned with excercise? I have noticed that MFP seems to be extremely generous with their burn estimates.

Pop. Decided to have one as a treat the other day since I had a bunch of cals leftover and I couldn't even drink it.
-
Oops. Just noticed you're done. Nevermind.
-
Sounds fun! :-) Slytherin or Ravenlaw, please.

Oh my gosh, I hate you. Not literally, I'm just jealous. Lol I get to enjoy being in the lucky group of women who have crippling pain and long periods. :-P Come on menopause.
-
I usually take a rest day on my first day when I feel the worst. I allow myself an overdose of chocolate too, but I make sure to stay within my cals for the day.
-
Awesomeness! Commence happy dance! Hopefully I'll be joining you in a couple of days. Darn scale is stuck at exactly 200. Haha

^This, totally this. Be patient with your body. You just made a person and it takes time to recover from that! The size thing, too. When I was in tip top shape, I was still in a large most of the time and I was quite slim then. The size doesn't really matter in clothes. They just vary so much.
-
Wow! Amazing transformation. You look truly stunning. Congrats!
-
I don't fit in, as I have younglings, but I just had to say you crack me up! The bit about checking out your furry human babies and your explanation of "uterine workouts". Oh, man. Too, funny!   Feel free to add me if you don't mind a couple people with kids cause I can always use a good dose of humor!

After 4 days of the shred, I'm glad for the Zumba. The Zumba is a great warm up for the shred. My muscles have been a bit stiff and sore in the mornings, but they feel good by the time I finish the Zumba. The 40 min. Zumba session seems to be the right length to go with the shred, at least for now.

40 min. Zumba followed by level 1 30 Day Shred.
