^^^ this. Unfortunately in Britain law suits on stupid no win no fee, have you had an accident in the last 5 years are going very strong still. People are even taking cameras into hospitals now to try and film a doctor screwing up. What kind of perverse world are we living in?

Clearly you never bothered to look further into the case. McDonald's was serving their coffee at unacceptably high temperatures and have had plenty of complaints about it beforehand. She was the first to make "headlines" about it. Spilling a hot beverage on yourself, regardless of the circumstances surrounding it, should…

I got told on a recent trip to Africa that ostriches could fly but they don't have the brain power to realise they can!!!

I think you will find Vimto found the one word that rhymes with purple! Schlurple the purple! Oh yeah is a word! That will make no sense to non British people!

Do some real research on the McDonald's case. The reason they were sued and LOST was due to food safety issues. The coffee was being held at a temperature that was NOT considered safe. It was being held too hot for human consumption. There are laws put in place about these things for safety reasons. The woman sustained…

but what did she expect??? You have got to take some responsibility for your actions and buying hot coffee and not expecting it to be hot is silly. Eating tubs of nutella and getting fat and then blaming nutella is silly. People are too quick to blame others and need to accept responsibility. Especially if kids are…

personally think she shouldn't be allowed to have kids if this is her stupidty rating or cunningness level!

my lentil soup is super tasty but it is a fly by the seat of your pants type recipe. I use red lentils and do one part to four parts water, add some chilli powder and fresh chillis and three pieces of bacon. Boil down the lentils and either add fresh stock (if I have it) or a cube. Then literally blend. I don't add any…

see that's what I thought!!! I do wonder where these "breakfast" foods cam from and if there is a reason we should eat them. The only negative that came from eating lentil soup for breakfast so far that I can see/hear(!) was the excessive wind I got (TMI!) :blushing:

I had lentil soup fro breakfast the other day...... :ohwell:

oh my god, this one made me cry!!! I am so trying this!!!

at what point did she think maybe this diet wasn't working so great after all?

what happened?!?! I was not drinking or drinking far less and then this week has happened upon me where I have gone a little crazy for no reason. The only thing I can think of is I have finished all my essays for this years course and decided to actually have a day off completely to myself so thought I'll have a drink,…

boil it, blend it, stick in a stock cube and away you go! I just made lentil soup and I literally poured in a load of water, and lentils, boiled down so it was mush and then added a stock cube and put some chorizo in. I blended it, tasted it and ate it.

Well firstly thanks to this thread I took myself off for a couple of hours to look at wedding stuff, but it's no good, I can't get excited about stuff although I do get excited about looking at menu options!!!! However off line I do know what my first dance song would be if I ever got married. I know what kind of wedding…

you know why you are going to keep going at this?.... Because in a years time you don't want to be saying "if only I carried on with I wonder where I'd be now" moan moan moan. Instead you're going to be like "Oh my gosh, I can not believe what I have achieved in a year, and to think I was almost going to give up?!!!"…

You make me cry..... Love you more my Welsh lovely!!!  :flowerforyou:

I did lent with no wine, and I did 40 days with no alcohol! I went over to Africa for 2 and a half weeks and it was very tough not being able to drink, so I had a couple of ciders. Easter Sunday I had my glass of wine at 12pm and it was ...ok. Last night I had a glass of wine and ended up giving the rest to my dad. I have…

thank you everyone, and thank you to all my new MFPers, hope I can support and motivate you enough to feel how I feel, like I could climb a mountain! So I did! ha ha!

If you're in this for the long haul and it's a lifestyle change, unfortunately there are going to be strawberry shortcake slices. Please DO NOT WORRY!!! Everyone has something naughty now and again it's when we eat it all the time we end up on this site trying to lose weight! I am currently having a couple of weeks off…

You filthy 'orrible lot!! But yeah, that's how I like to roll!!

boneless fish with bones - turns me right off. And the egg thing! I get that when I leave them in the water too long cooling. I hate peeling them when the whites go all rubbery and then you've finally done it, chomp down into one and get shell. - Turns me right off as well. Hummus that someone has left out and has gained a…

we are long distance so have to cram it in as and when we see each other, so weeks without, then lots altogether. Wish we could space it out more and do it more over the week! Soon.....

I've had a three year long distance relationship. It's hard but there are good points and bad points. It's difficult when you miss them soooooo much sometimes it physically hurts and you literally would do anything to see them. It's very difficult saying goodbye each time. It's hard when you have had some good news, or…

"bump" puts the topic in your topics and pushes it to the most recent NSV - non scale victory - an old small top that now fits or someone saying how amazing you look DD/H - Darling daughter etc OH - other half I cant think of any others at the moment but I did go 4 months without knowing any of these if that helps ha ha ha…

when you are so obsessed with losing your log in days you log in even when you're almost 10,000 miles from home (not kidding!) with just a message so you don't go back to zero! I will NOT go back to zero! I definitely agree with starting stories with "this funny thing happened to someone on MFP the other day" "this person…

This is how I feel. I know it's not a drinking problem but then when I really think about it, I am kinda dependent on it for unwinding, celebrating, chilling and socialising. I got some really good marks on Friday evening and everyone was drinking to celebrate. I have got to say that was most definitely the most difficult…

ha ha love the above comment, so true! Everyone says I think I'll open a bottle tonight, or I'm so gonna get wrecked this weekend, and nobody bats an eyelid, but I've noticed when I say I' not drinking people ask why! 29 days in 18 days to go. It's definitely been an eye opener this going without alcohol malarky. Some…
