Do you like any healthy foods? Could you try making a healthier version of an unhealthy favorite food?

I gained weight after surgery this year on my foot in January. But mostly I gained weight from eating a full carby diet again. I also used covid as an excuse to eat even more carbs, because there was no meat in the stores and I thought need to stock up on dried foods like rice and beans. I don't feel good anymore and I'm…

I had no idea dog food is mostly carbs! That's disturbing. Poor doggie, I'm sure that she will instantly love her new diet though.

Conchas are my weakness. If I have one I try to cut it up and make it last days so I get the taste and don't feel deprived. But sometimes... Lol

I think your weight fluctuates during the week, I wouldn't worry too much about it. It doesn't mean you aren't losing weight or your doing something wrong. As long as it's trending down you are still losing weight. It's probably water retention.

Carne Asada, Chimichurri, Oven Roasted Veggies. Yummilicious!

Due to my success and now very noticeable weight-loss, I've inspired several friends and family to try low carb recipes and eat healthier. They tell me that I inspired them to "try it too".

In the asian food section of the grocery store they have cheap packs of little pre-cut dried nori strips for like $1. They are meant to be eaten as a snack but if you aren't eating rice then they work well to make tiny rolls. I've made philli-rolls and tuna rolls. Not real sushi, but not bad.

Yes, I lost the majority of weight this year without being sedentary and unable to exercise due to a temporary disability. I still don't do any real cardio just some weights, physical therapy and some walking yet I continue to lose weight. Two years ago I did tons of cardio (trained for a marathon) and actually gained a…

McD's is actually pretty low carb friendly. You can buy the meats and cheeses seperate and pay less money than a sandwich. I ordered lettuce wrapped burgers before from them or just order a burger and eat the meat right out of the bun. Or order a side salad to make a salad. A big chicken breast is only $2.

I started intermittent fasting last month (16/8), and I think that it has helped me a lot. I stop eating at 7pm and eat at 11am. I think its the not eating before bed for so long that really helps. I also lost around 20lbs this year and I'm not overweight anymore which helped a lot too, but I think even losing some weight…

Cool find! I'll have to try it.

Wow, that's really good! I don't usually find meats that cheap where I live, especially beef. I'm going to be more diligent looking for sales/markdowns.

Heavy cream unfortunately breaks a fast. If you are accidentally breaking your fast early I think that makes sense why you are getting hungry. Bulletproof coffee/oils/butter/half-and-half/creams all break a fast. I found this video helpful for what does and doesn't break a fast. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LftmhASRlEc…

how long have you been on a low carb diet? May 20 2018 - Present how much did you weigh when you started and how much have you lost? 140 (-18lbs) how many carbs do you eat a day? 50-70ish how much protein and fat do you eat? 20-25% protein - 50%+ for fat do you exercise? how many times a week? Yes, but only weights and…

You can get a spiralizer for $10-12 on amazon. It takes only like 5 min to do a whole zucchini. Zoodles are my favorite "pasta" replacement. Spaghetti squash is great too, it just takes longer to cook. They don't taste like pasta but sometimes they taste better in my opinion, pasta alone doesn't have much flavor. Its all…

Congrats on starting your first day! Most keto/low carb foods are gluten free by nature. However, just keep in mind that not all gluten free foods are low carb and some are actually higher in carbs so just read the labels. Reducing carbs should help reduce your cravings for those carby glutenous foods.

I noticed that the more "exceptions" I made to my diet and having too many cheats/carbs/sugars led me to having more cravings. When I started low carb I ate twice as many carbs as I do now and I had more cravings. So if you are having a lot of strong cravings that might be why. I'm on a low carb diet, which isn't as strict…

https://media.giphy.com/media/s4LdMSoTCXBQI/giphy.gif When Gaston was a lad he ate 4 dozen eggs every morning to help him get large! ...and now that he's grown he eats 5 dozen eggs, so he's rough the size of a barrrrrrrrge!

Just an update that I recently ordered ramen from a restaurant without noodles and it was great! It came with spinach, bean sprouts and chicken and all I did differently is add a soft boiled egg. It was surprisingly very satisfying and filling without noodles. I was worried it would not fill me up, I was wrong. But I…

One thing that I love about low-carb is how fast and easy it is to make food now that I don't have to cook rice or noodles anymore. It takes only 2-5 minutes to sauté some zoodles or cauliflower rice. Zoodles go great with meatballs and sauce or as a side to any meat. Seared tuna takes only a couple of minutes to cook and…

Sat 9/22 Worked out at the gym! 💪🏼 8 min abs 💪🏼 Physical Therapy Exercises 2x/day ✔️✔️ Made cloud bread for the first time. Ate a little too much but worked it off at the gym. 🍴 I had a perfect food day until I kind of failed and ate a whole chocolate chip cookie that night, but that was my only cheat meal in the past 3…

I'm joining late, but better late than never! I'm easing back into weight lifting after taking a couple months off at the gym just 30 min a day 2-3 days a week to start. I started doing yoga to stretch and relax. I started logging foods again mostly to track my carbs to curb cravings. I'm also starting physical therapy…

I was surprised this weekend to go shopping and find that I fit perfectly into a size 4 pant, but I was even more shocked that I also fit into also fit into a size 4 top! I can't even remember fitting into a size 4 top since...ever! TBH wasn't sure it was even possible. :open_mouth: But what makes me the happiest is eating…

I've been sedentary due to injury since the start of my diet, but I've been pretty successful as far as weight loss. I stopped counting calories and I just let hunger be my guide. My favorite non-refrigerated foods are nuts, seeds and beef jerky (just check the labels as some brands have hidden carbs). There's also canned…

Went to the gym for the first time in weeks just to lift, I won't be able to do Cardo for a while. Slowly increasing my activity as my foot slowly recovers. Started getting muscle cramps and doctor told me to I need to be more active and to lift if I can't run, walk or bike. So back to lifting it is, easing back into it…

I just had a prp injection in my foot. So my goal weirdly enough is to rest it and be as sedentary as possible so that I can heal up and feel better. Its harder than you think. To make up for it I'm going to log diligently to hopefully keep up the momentum of my weight loss which has been going very strong. Its been 6…

No more muffin top in my skinny jeans! In fact I'm pinching some extra fabric in them. I placed my baggy leggings and jeggings in trash/donation pile, I don't need them anymore. Also, I now have enough courage to buy shorts. lol.
