Thank you everyone for your prayers and well wishes. I am not certain as to what the road ahead will be, but as Kupe shared, my recovery may be the similar in that I will be limited in what I can do. I do know that I will not be able to ride my bike outside as long as I am on blood thinning meds. The doctor said that it…

i will have to pass on this one.

Hello all. I am. Doing much better! Thank you. Well lets just say that was not a over use injury back in July. Although I stopped riding, The pain resided a bit but never really went away. I traveled to Denver to do some work and the first week I was here I was in bed with breathing and chest pains. I went to urgent care…

I wasn’t expecting the Red Dossard at all. I am humbled for sure. KitTheRoadie’s Lunchtime ride picture was my favorite, well deserved blue ribbon!

Awesome challenge. My first time doing one, and I thoroughly enjoyed the whole process, from the effort to put it on and maintain it, to the riders themselves and the comradely. I am looking forward to the next TDF challenge should there be one.

It's a very nice goal. I have a similar one. There is a group of riders where I live that rides apx 60 miles every Saturday. I can do the distance, but they ride at a faster pace than I can ride. My goal is to be able to work up to that pace. They pass me up often when I'm out riding, and they look to be having a great…

I’ve tied mirrors in the past and I was never happy with them. The vibrations of riding make them difficult to use and in a lot of cases unusable all together. I am also a minimalist in that I don’t like a lot of things on my person or bike. If the function of a mirror worked better for me, I would consider using one.

Hope you are OK

Love this one.

I have to apologize to my teammates for team 4 especially today when the KMs are the most. After last Sunday’s ride my left calf has had a dull “Charlie horse” type discomfort and is slightly swollen up. I was hoping it would be better after Monday’s rest day, but it was not feeling any better when I got up at 4:30am to do…

I will have to travel Colorado for work later this week. I will be bringing my bike with me so I can keep my rides up, I plan on continuing my riding, it just may not be the milage that I have been doing.

sorry forgot to mention the tearing up part.

They are, I do not beleive I would be riding this much if it were not for this challenge. I put my MTB on hold so I could just work on this challenge. Looking fwd to getting back on the dirt for sure.

This picture is of a road called Sun Valley Parkway. The road looks like this for about 30 miles, huge shoulders to ride on and very little to no traffic. The whole length of this road was planned to be developed to rival Mesa, AZ one of the largest communities in the Phoenix area. This big road was made to accommodate…

I have to say I am not happy on how they blacklisted Lance on everything. The problem was not Lance's alone. His cockiness, lying and arrogant attitude are most likely what brought on a lot of his demise IMO. But the truth of it, there were doctors involved, trainers, coaches and the USCF. This doping deal goes all the way…

Well I tired what CycleCarolina recommended by loosening all my straps. This did make a change for the better. Also all this riding has broken the shoes in more than before, also creating a bit better situation. However I still feel the HOT foot part when I have a bigger effort riding. I'm thinking this could be…

Nice pictures for sure.

I really dont have to worry about mud and such around here. But I do know what you are saying. I dont clean off my bike every time, but it does get dirty with all the dry dirt and sand around here. Maybe every other time I will clean it though. But is all the fun you have riding on these trails worth all the cleaning?…

Take exit 120 (Verrado Way) and head North for just over 2 miles to W. Lost Creek Dr. Turn Left (West) and go for about 1 ¼ miles to the trail head. From the trail head to the top is about 4 miles, actual hill climb starts about 2 miles from the top. The trail is not really a trail, it's a dirt road. However there are a…

I have a excessive amount of work today. I dont know if I will be able to fit a ride in today team 4. I will see what I can do tho.

The picture from the highway makes it look a worse that it actually is, but it does look nasty from the highway for sure.

Yeah the motor oil is going to attract dirt and sand. Those are the enemies of chains as the grit works it's way into the links and cause wear and tear, not to mention a black ugly mess after awhile. I would recommend cleaning your chain with a H2O mixture of simple green or dawn dish soap real good to remove all the oil.…

Really nice scenery. I dont have much green where I am. Just a few cactus.
