Yes, there's definitely a difference! Well done for not giving up even though you felt discouraged. :-)

Wow, you can really see a difference in your face/neck! Way to go!

That's a huge difference! I hope you can see it yourself now. Thank you for the inspiration!

Cheekbones! Yes, there's definitely a difference!

Holy crap! Those numbers are really impressive. Your doctor must have been blown away when you went back to see him/her! Well done!

Wow! Well done!!

Hello from Iowa City, Iowa!

Happy birthday (and what a great gift to yourself)!!

Well done!

You really do look great! Well done! I'm always amazed at how much younger people look after they lose weight.

I switched to monthly weigh-ins (instead of daily or weekly). I know what choices I have to make to become healthier, and it's much easier for me to stay on that path when I don't have the numbers on the scale messing with my head so often.

Way to go!!

Wow - interesting story! Thanks for sharing it, and congratulations on your success!

...and now that song is in my head...

Hi! I'm 44, married, and have a 6-year-old son.

loritilton - you may not have to give up bread and pasta completely. Whole wheat bread and whole grain/Barilla Plus-type pastas are more filling. Just measure the pasta to be sure you're only eating one serving (I can eat a whole plate of it if I'm not careful!).

Quote: Monday = normal day which includes my regular 10 mile walk. Today = normal + 40 minutes of Zumba. Hi! I don't fit the specifics you requested (I haven't lost my weight yet), but I have a question...how often do you exercise and what do you do? Do you walk 10 miles every day? And then do Zumba on top of that? I tried…

My goal is to lose 60-70 lbs and to not feel so tired all the time.

I agree with this. I turned 44 this year, and all of a sudden my body needs extra attention! It feels like I never get enough sleep and I'm working on that. I make better food choices and feel stronger overall when I'm rested - and exercise is definitely easier when I'm not exhausted. I also seem to have less resistance to…

Do you want a GPS watch or a running watch? If you just want to keep track of lap times, etc. then an inexpensive running watch would do the job. Mine was about $35 ten years ago and it still does what I need it to do.

Yes, there's a difference! I also looked at your face pics (before/after) on your profile and there's a big difference in your face. You look like your own daughter now. :-) Measure yourself and use those numbers to compare in the future. You can't always depend on your own brain to be objective. You look GREAT, though -…

Wow - way to go! I love the running pics on your profile, too! (Thanks for sharing these. I needed the inspiration this morning.)

Well done! Twelve pounds makes a huge difference on you! And I *love* your hair.
-
Wow - well done! I love your smile in the second one! Thank you for sharing such inspiring photos.

You'll need a new driver's license photo - you look like a completely different person!

Once in a while when I'm out walking people (usually young men) yell nasty things as they drive by. I wear headphones most of the time, even if I don't turn the music on - at least I can pretend I don't hear them! Don't let that guy get in your way. Life your life, do what's right for you. Some people are going to be…

I'm scared of being visible. I've been obese and I've been a healthy weight, and people notice me a lot more when I'm at a healthy weight. I'm not sure I'm up to the attention. I know it will be a big change for me, but I need to do it anyway.

I'm 5' 1 1/2", SW (& CW) 183. GW is 120. I'm just getting started (again) with weight loss and it's really inspiring for me to see all of your posts!

Well done! Your eyes really shine in the after photo. :-)
