  • This! I struggled with doing both for about two weeks and then dropped WW. The "Freebies" got to me. I consulted a few people on here and realized I was eating too much fruit, but then I couldn't wrap my mind around the fact that the zero points when a banana costs me 110 calories as opposed to a peach which is like 45.
  • As someone who has done 5 rounds of WW, I like MFP much better. I feel like I'm learning how to eat better instead of using their system and their points. I can just read the box with no calculator and boom!
  • This is entirely possible. I lifted the 2nd slice from my brothers plate right after I ate the first, so I probably didn't allot time for that warning to stop eating. Thank you for all these good suggestions.
  • Missed this comment. I totally hadn't considered that. A little google fu shows it's similar to how I felt last night. That may have been it. I'll try the cake again (my parents always have it at their house) and see what happens.
  • I didn't actually throw up, but I see your point. I also bolded your last statement because you make a really good point.
  • In hindsight this was a very rude response. I'm sorry for the things I typed when I had a stomach ache.
  • Not trying to be rude at this point, but you are like a dog with a bone right now. So every stomach ache is because I can't view foods neutrally. So my peanut butter allergy is because I think it's fattening?
  • I didn't say it would. My question is regarding the feeling after I ate the cake. I love cake. I didn't get to be my size without loving cake. Can I have cake safely without feeling like death? Because if so, That is the train I want to be on. I just wanted to know if anyone else had a similar instances, because right now,…
  • Fair. I didn't consider that. I've had this cake before my diet and loved it. At the time that I ate it, it was more of a "I've been super good, it's just one piece of cake, maybe two pieces so I'll be fine."
  • And technically it was two pieces of cake.
  • Reading back over my entry I realize it sounds like that, but I don't have an issue with food. I considered puking because I really felt that awful. I don't mean never having cake or junk food (I had McDonald's for dinner the previous night), but I'm trying to figure out what happened last night. Thank you for your concern…
  • The staff get worried when you show up later than usual. "Dude you ok? Where you been?"
  • Wow. Sold. I didn't think I could get results like that in a deficit. Thanks so much!
  • As someone who has had this particular problem, it just meant I really had to watch what I was eating. There was no estimating calories or mindless eating allowed. I had to track every single calorie to make sure I stayed at a deficit.
  • *facepalm* Thanks for posting this. I usually avoid weighing because I think it takes too much time. Didn't even think about zeroing out between items. I always grab separate containers. Feeling like an idiot.
  • This. I loved Chipotle and would always think was healthy due to how fresh the ingredients were (stupid I know). After realizing I can blow my entire calorie budget for the day with a burrito, visits to Chipotle have fallen by the wayside. When I do go there, I get a salad and leave half the menu off of it.
  • A skirt I bought to deal with the weight I gained actually fits. Think about that one for a minute.
  • This is so true. A few weeks a go a mini argument started in a meeting because a new member was upset that someone mentioned eating too much fruit. "But aren't fruits free" was thrown all around the room which is what got me thinking on this subject. I don't know if it's selective hearing on my part or others, but whenever…
  • Thanks for posting that. I think that nails exactly what I was doing.
  • I was talking to my bf about this, why did they switch from the former model. It seems like allowing for fruits and veggies made a lot more sense than their current model.
  • For the record, it was bought early in the day and I didn't sit and just eat the entire lb. It took the entire day but I had it with breakfast, as a snack, in a smoothie and many other ways through out the day.
  • Wow. I don't think I've ever heard this in my meetings. 5 servings? That makes total sense. Is this on their website somewhere?
  • Based on what people are saying, it seems like I may have abused the plan a bit with my "Free" points. I cannot eat a lb of strawberries and still expect to be at a deficit. I really like strawberries.
  • DO NOT SIT DOWN AFTER YOU CROSS THE FINISH LINE! I made this mistake and was too sore to get up and wound up crying. I know you will feel like dropping, but just keep walking. Bring some bengay and take advantage of the massage tent.
  • That's bookmark, not like.
  • Because one of their sponsors is Coca Cola?
  • Thank you. TDEE is a big thing around here, so I assumed when it asked all those questions, it was taking that into consideration.
  • This. The program may work at first, but you are exactly right, it isn't modeled for people who are interested in vigorous exercise. It's almost like they don't understand it. I never understood how a 10 mile run gives so little points back. after my weight stalled, I moved on. It works to a point, but honestly, despite…
  • This. I eat more than you do. I'm a lady that weighs 141, and am 27. Seems low.
