Thank you everyone for the feedback! This has helped a ton, I think I'm going to go with a trek 7.2 or specialized Sirius, just not sure if I really need the disc brakes and the other upgrades or just get the basic stock model

I guess I don't have to have a hybrid. Like I said I'm brand new to bikes so I'm not even sure what would be best. I'd say 90% of my riding would occur on surface roads or bike trails, maybe I don't need the hybrid? I just figured that might give me the option all around. But like I said. I really have no idea!

Been running for about a year now, dropped about 30 pournds but wanted to get some more strength. My deficit per day is usually around 200-500

Just started about 6 months ago for the first time ever and am completely hooked. Have done 2 half-marathon's and want to do more! Just feels good to set goals and then meet them which is what keeps me coming back! Fellow runners feel free to add me!

Yeah, I've been using the Nike Running app for my exercise calorie burn numbers, so you think those are way elevated on how much is actually getting burnt?

Done a few 7.5 mile runs, farthest one so far has been 8. Took me a little over hour and a half..

I went to a running shop yesterday, and they said I overpronate, and I was wearing Nike Free Run's for my runs, and she said that's not a good shoe for me since it's so flexible. I'm hoping that's the reason. The half is a little over 13 weeks out, so I've got plenty of time. Currently using 4 runs a week with some…
