I am very interested. I actually need to lose 12 lbs by May 12th, so it's a little more drastic but I am in pretty much the same boat as you guys. 142.4 lbs is my current weight, that was this past Monday (the 25th) so I'd like to count that as my weigh-in.

I am a rower, and I use the rowing machine 6 days a week, an hour at a time. I know how painful it can be. Rowing is often an anaerobic exercise, which can be extremely painful and tiring. I am actually in the same boat. I have crew practice in the morning at 4am and I don't get to bed until 10pm most days. I eat fruit right when I wake up, before going to practice (apple or banana). After practice, around 8am, I eat a bowl of oatmeal. Maybe another fruit. Lunch is a salad, maybe a PB&J. Snack before lunch…

Also a broke college student here. Lots of salad. Lots of canned things (beans, veggies, fruit) that say reduced sodium or low sodium. It can get kind of boring after awhile, but there's lots of different ways you can mix things up.

I weigh in the morning of the 12th. I am hoping I can lose most of it, if not all of it, in a fairly reasonable manner before the date, and if not, hopefully I will only have to cut or sweat out 1-2lbs the day of.

I'm probably going to do that (sweating it out, losing water weight) if it gets down to the wire and I'm still a few pounds over by the date. Hopefully it won't come to that.

I have tried limiting my carbs but it made me feel incredibly weak during my workouts, I had zero energy and I've never felt that way before. I will try to have no carbs for dinner tonight since I already had toast and beans and a banana today. Thanks!
