  • When I've done a good ab work out in the past, my abs are definately sore. I think you may be doing them wrong, or maybe you're just not doing enough of them to make a difference. So youdon't strain your back (very common with ab exercises) ask a trainer to watch you do a few so you know you're doing them correctly. I've…
  • I used to think diet sodas were a gift from God (zero calories) but later discovered the added sodium and chemicals actually worked in reverse and made me feel bloated. I would lose the diet drinks if I were you. They just don't have healthy stuff in them even though they are no calorie drinks. Okay, you can have one…
  • I am 5'4 and currently weight 149 lbs. My goal is 135. If I get any skinnier than 135 I will lose my boobs, and after being very small chested for most of my life (and generally weighing about 115 lbs), I now have big boobs! I have been down to 135 before and it looks nice on me. I like having some curves without feeling…
  • Try 6 small meals rather than 3 squares or the equivilant of 3 small meals, and two or three snacks in between so you're eating every 2-3 hours all day. It might keep you from getting hungry. Just keep an eye on the type of things you snack on (no cookies or donuts or chips). Think fruit, carrot sticks, rice cakes, South…
  • If I'm just feeding myself, I buy Lean Cuisine single serving pizzas then jazz them up a bit with some green chiles or jalopenos for extra taste. If I'm feeding a couple of people, I'd buy a thin crust pizza in the frozen section (like those great California pizzas with spinach and mushrooms) or if dining out, just stick…
  • I just joined a few weeks ago myself! It's a cool website and a great tool for tracking your meals and fitness. It has really helped me see where I've screwed up or what I need to tweak in my routines. Stick with it! Good luck.
  • Try bagging some shelled walnuts or almonds in a snack bag to give you some additional crunch. Small portions won't impact your waistline and the nuts have lots of protein to give you energy.
  • That is a good question and I sometimes don't think they do! When my husband and I first started dating I weighed around 155 lbs. while he was away for a 3-week training session for work, I joined Nutrisystem and dropped 20 lbs during those 3 weeks. Did he notice when he returned? Nope! Didn't have a clue. Meanwhile,…
  • I have a snack or drink half of a protein shake 20 min. BEFORE my work out. This seems to help me not crave everything in site afterwards. Try an apple, or a piece of cheese. Something light, but something that'll carry you beyond the work out, then plan to eat a regular meal about an hour later if possible. Good luck.
  • Angelina Jolie is the worst! I think she is so unattractive and all her movies are the same. I also don't care for Jack Black (how does he get all those parts normally given to cute dudes?) or Paris Hilton (rich and interesting are not the same thing)....and that goofy Will Ferrell. lol
  • Is there any way to stick a Fiberone bar in your purse, or take a protein drink in a covered container that you can sip on while you work?.....There must be a way. It is unreasonable (and unhealthy) to go that long without eating.
  • I hear your frustration! I would make a protein shake and keep it on hand to slurp on right before you have to do a grueling ride, or exercise routine. It might give you enough energy to keep you from being anaerobic. I keep a protein concoction in my fridge made up of those Walmart powders and some frozen fruit. Sometimes…
