  • YOU ARE AMAZING!!! What a fantastic success story! I start P90X in July, and I can't wait! You are such an inspiration-the before and after pictures are just breathe taking!!!!
  • Maybe eat small snacks throughout the day. I have a good breakfast, a protein snack after my workout, lunch, snack an hour before dinner, then dinner, and finally a final snack around 8. Recently I started eating 12-14 almonds with 16 oz of water. I noticed when I didn't eat little snacks throughout the day I was dreaming…
  • That is amazing! I remember I cried when I did my first mile without stopping. Great job!!!
  • I never eat my exercise calories back. I eat anywhere between 1250-1550 calories a day. Regardless of the amount of exercise I do. I usually burn between 1000-1650 calories per day through exercise. You have to burn 3500 calories to lose 1 pound of fat, so how does eating your calories back equal weight loss? The more you…
  • I love GNC Lean Shake 25. The vanilla tastes like cake batter, and the swiss chocolate is great. I add bananas, or berries, plus I use Almond milk for Iron. Some ice, and it is fantastic! It fills you up, and leaves you satisfied.
  • 1.) My goal per day is 1500 2.) I average 1350-1400 3.) I stick to it everyday 4.) I average at least 2 lbs a week. In the last 4 weeks I've lost 16. 5.) I burn at least 1100-1800 calories per day when I work out. I do that 6 days a week. The most I have splurged is 1650. That was on a day when I ran a 5k, and then went to…
  • Also in my personal opinion, I wouldn't eat back any of the calories you burned. It will take back twice as long to lose the weight you want too. If you do that test that I mentioned, it will tell you how many calories you burn when your body is completly at rest, and what your daily goal intake should be to lose weight.…
  • Have you done a caloric/metobolic test to see what your exact zones are? If not, then I would probably spilt the difference between the two. Most hrm use a generic scale based on body weight, and age, so unless it's set up to your personal stats, it won't be 100% accurate. Same with the Wii.
  • Start slow. Six moths ago I couldn't run 5 minutes, now I run a 12 minute mile. I would use the random, or hill program, and walk for 4 mins, then lightly jog for 1 min, and I kept adding every week. Plus I would add incline every week as well. I would do about 60 mins on the treadmill, and then 30 mins on the eliptical,…
  • Welcome! The best advice is to start exchanging foods you love, with some version that is better for you. Start small. Three times a week is great to start off with. You'll want to go more when you see results. One thing I love is Thomas Whole Wheat Bagel thins, with weight watchers cream cheese singles. It curbs my bread…
  • It's much better than the dannon type. Those are terrible. The blueberry is the best. If you have any other types of food that you are curious about, feel free to ask me. I try almost anything once.
  • They are ok if you want somethine crisp, but they do leave an after taste. Couldn't hurt to try them if you haven't already. You do get a lot per serving. I've tried both sea salt, and sour cream & chive. The latter is the better.
  • Thank you for the information. I'm going to give it a try. Since Sunday is my day off, I'll do it then. Maybe some coffee, or cereal. I haven't had either since October. I'm trying hard not to let this consume me, and I need to realize that i will want to eat other things in a limited/rational amount when I hit my goal.…
  • How many calories would a cheat meal be? I've gotten so use to not eating foods from my past, that I'm almost afraid to indulge. Plus when I have, I've had horrible stomach aches after. I feel sluggish, and unmotivated. Should it be pasta? Pizza? Bread? I don't have a clue. I average about 1550 calories a day. My daily max…
  • What's the difference between Insanity & p90x? 60 to 90 days? My eating isn't an issue. I haven't had caffeine in 6 months, no smoking, no alcohol, very limited carbs, and sugar. I drink a gallon of water a day, and stay away from artificial sweetner. I can't believe how my tastes have changed, and that foods that use to…
  • Thanks everyone for the information. It sounds as though overall it has positve results. I realize it will take more than one session to get to my goal, so I'm going to give it a shot. Thanks again!
