Hi! I'm 12 weeks pregnant, and I recently lost 110 lbs. So far I've gained 7 lbs, but I feel like a blimp too! It's normal from what I have heard & read. I've noticed all of my extra weight has shifted to my stomach, and I feel like I'm wearing the Mrs. Doubtfire fat suit. How are you feeling? I was horribly nauseaus &…

Wow! That is amazing! Congrats! I lifted 105lb the other day, and I can't believe I walked around with that everyday. What was I thinking? No wonder why my knees & back hurt all the time. Keep up the great work!

You can do it! I started out at 289.9, and I took it one "decade" at a time. Once I was out of the 80's, I worked through the 70's, etc. It was am easier way to take it , then looking at the larger picture. Now I'm back in the '80's (185) and I look forward to the 70's. If I only focused on how much total I had to lose, I…

I belong to Lifetime Fitness & I LOVE IT!!! I disagree that they are created to have people dump loads of money. You get what you put into it. I love to workout outside, but it's nearly impossible in the winter if the weather is bad. I know some people who have the best intentions, and think they want to go, but don't.…

I burn quite a bit, but I am a nut. Saying that I keep track of my calories burned via my Polar HRM. My average calorie burn is between 1100-1500 calories 3-4 days a week. The other days I average 600-850. On days when I bike to the gym, do cardio or crossfit, that is when I burn the most. Running 5 days a week is between…

I don't get why she feels this way, but she always seems to believe I am obsessive about something. Having a clean house, matching my clothes, being organized. I think to her she just isn't a type A personality, and I am. Her life is chaotic at best, and she's always losing something, or running around like a chicken. My…

From what I have learned, and this is just for me- Crystal light is not good for you. Anything that is artifical or created in a lab is detrimental to your diet. If you are using it as a way to keep away from soda, go for it. But over time you will want to get away from it as well. After research, and doing it, I've…

Thanks! That's my baby-she a pit bull mix, and hopefully after Sunday I will have my own picture up here. I hate taking pictures, but I've promised for months that I would do it. Thanks for your post!

That is AWESOME!! What a wonderful compliment!!! Great job!!

Awesome! Thanks for the info. I'm a bit of a cardio nut so I won't be giving it credit for all of the inches lost, but an extra 36 mins 5 days a week can't hurt. At least that's what I'm thinking. I'd love to lose 4 inches in my chest by Christmas, so fingers crossed. C'mon Jillian!!

Ok- I hope this comes across right. I started in October of 2010 @ 289.9lbs. Something had to change inside of me. I had to stop being a quitter, and start holding myself accountable. I needed to face why I was turning to food, and why I hated myself enough to get to that point. This is not a one day journey, this is days,…

I agree 100%. My daughter only eats what I eat. We don't have soda in the house, processed foods, or junk. She complains that the worst thing is chocolate almond milk. HAHA! I don't want her to become hooked on artificial foods, or sugar. It's sets a bad example that she will struggle with if she doesn't learn now. I also…

Did you lose inches? DId you take measurements before? If you don't mind, did you do any other exercises? Thanks!
-
I am on day 5 today, and I am starting level 2 tomorrow. Are you doing anything else? Did you take measurements? I'm curious to see what happens after 30 days. If you don't mind sharing, do you do cardio as well? I run 1.25 miles 5 days a week, plus at least 90 mins of other cardio 5 days a week, plus crossfit with my…

I wear Reebok Real Flex, and I have never been happier. I have a serious knee injury, walk on the inside of my feet, and have broken toes and side bones in each foot so I have arthritis. They are perfection in a shoe! I run, walk, bike, & crossfit in them!

HAHAHAHAHAHA! My secret shameful NSV is checking to see if I have an *kitten* yet. I've had a pancake one for so long, now I check to see if all of the lunges, running, and stair climbing is worth it! Good for you!!

How beautiful! Our wedding song was "I'll always be right there", by Bryan Adams. One of the versus states," we're not 2 people now, we are one, you're second to none. Forever we will be, together a family." I chose this because when I met my husband he was a single father of a 2 year old boy, and a 3 month old girl. His…

I'm not annoyed that people ask. I get that a lot of people on here are looking for help or suggestions. My issue is with those that tell others that if they DON'T, then they are asking for trouble, or they will not end up being successful. I have asked questions myself, I would never fault anyone for that. I've read…

I'm with you! Thanks everyone for your comments!

I agree. One thing I have learned for myself, is if I am hungry, eat. Usually after a huge, extended workout, the next day I am hungry. So I eat, just healthy choices. We all will figure out what works best for us, after all we are the only person that will really hold us accountable. Thank you!

Welcome! Feel free to add me as well. I adore boneless chicken wings, but have only had them once in 10 months :( They just don't seem worth it. I am about 40-50lbs away from my goal (depending on what's healthy), but I've already lost 102lbs since October 2010. If you have need anything, feel free to ask!!! Good luck!! My…

Feel free to add me. I've been on this journey since October and if you need any help, or advice, please just ask!!!

I have yet to take a current picture. Next week is a wedding that i have been looking forward too for months, and I have every intention of posting before and after next Monday. But I'm scared. I hate the way I look in photos, and I know that even with losing 102lbs, I'm still going to find something to critize about me.…

I've noticed a HUGE difference. People open doors, sale clerks are much more friendly, I get called "Miss", and people in general are just nicer. I never wanted to admit it to myself before, but I knew I was being judged because I was overweight. It's not fair, or right, but it's reality. Maybe some of it has to do with…

I agree to a point. I started my journey in Oct '10 with a friend & WW. Having done the point program before, I knew what to expect. I believe that it is a great way to start a change, especially for those that have issues with overeating, or emotional attachment to food. The group is supportive, and weighing in helps hold…

Awesome!!! My most recent NSV is that i have a beautiful Guess dress watch from 2 years ago. I lost the extension link, so I couldn't wear it. I found it yesterday, tried it on, and it's loose! How big was my wrist before? I just love little moments like this!! Congrats on the smaller waist!!!

Thank you! Saying a little chant everyday just might help. I'm gonna try it. I know one of the big obstacles is forgiving myself for gaining it in the first place. I'm taking it one day @ a time, and I appreciate you sharing your story & help with me!!

I was a 22 for at least 3 years. I gained 10lbs a year for 12 years. My highest weight was 289.9, and now I'm 187. I'm also 5'8, and I'm only 10lbs from where I was when I met my husband. I've dieted a million times before, but this time I took it 10lbs at a time. I thought about getting into the 270's, then 260's, etc. I…

Fantastic job!! My favorite nsv was going to Lane Bryant a few months ago looking for shorts, and the sales clerk asked if she could help. I told her what I was looking for & she said, "Honey, this is a plus size store, you won't fit in anything here." And she was right. I went to my car and cried. I remember when 22's…
