I am actually doing the Dr. Oz 48 Hour Cleanse Detox. Breakfast was Quinoa with a pinch of nutmeg, grated ginger, prunes and flax seed oil. Lunch is a smoothie consisting of Almond milk, blueberries and banana. During the day you can eat a combination of celery, radishes, cucumbers, green beans with olive oil, lemon juice…

Mine is thin and eats a lot. He just went to the doctor and is now on high blood pressure and high cholesterol medicines. I thought good now is a great time (selfishly) for us to start eating basically fruits, vegetables, whole grains and some lean protein which is what I have been trying to do but it is almost impossible…

Go exercise that is just the umph you need to feel better - you'll be proud of yourself for doing it and it really will help motivate you to stick to it. We all have bad weekends, and thank goodness for Monday when we can start fresh again. I didn't exercise for two weeks during the holidays and it was so hard to get back…

Keep exercising that really helps it keep moving. Menopause is when it completely stops so you have more than enough time to enjoy :)

I can't imagine loosing enough in two weeks that I couldn't fit into my clothes. What a nice problem

Go to the Strength Training not the Cardio and put in your search weights there.
-
I search for weights, and it should give you a weight/strength training option then I put in the amount of time and I do get a caloire count. Unfortuantley it isn't huge but it is something. As a side note, I did a 45 weight class today at my gym, the instructor who was also doing the class had a heart rate monitor which…

Yeah that looks scary, that could be the problem. Besides, beer, wine and coffee -- water is about all I drink, I find it is the only thing that REALLY quenches my thirst. Maybe all that water is overrated. I did recently read that if you are thirsty drink water if not don't worry about it.

Well I would think you need the 64 oz by the time you hit the gym and then continue to hydrate while exercising. I usually drink about 100 oz a day sometimes more. I have a 16.9 oz bottle that I fill at least six times before 5:00. I know some people have a hard time drinking all the water, maybe had some crystal light or…

Yeah be happy about the TOM -- it keeps you young. I havn't had that in two years and it is harder and harder to loose weight and my body is dropping at an outstanding rate. I mean, really I know where my fanny use to be. LOL I workout 5 times a week - couldn't imagine how I would look if I didn't.

UGH I ate like 1800 calories yesterday. The problem is I was doing so good and then the last 4-5 days not so good. Time to get back to it. It's a contsant battle. The 12 pounds I want to loose seems like it may as well be 120. I've only lost 4 pounds in like 6 weeks.

Fanny muscles is the term I use. LOL Anyway if you havn't been walking regularly and then did a four mile walk yesterday it is perfectly normal for your fanny to be feeling sore. Keep up the walking, there is no real advantage to running over walking if you are walking at a good pace - say at least 15 min miles. When I was…

DARN DARN DARN, I always have cans of tuna, kashi bars, etc in my drawer at work. Buy some good stuff to stash away in case that happens again

UGH touchy situation. Maybe you could explain how you are promoting healthy eating habits in your children and do not prepare food with butter, lard and/or salt. That you appreciate her wanting to help out but that you would rather do the cooking and maybe she could help out with someting else.

Yes there is a tea called Sleepy Time that has helped me, but I'm 51 and I know that it is menopause also. I started taking Estroven and finally after a month I sleep better, not great, but better and the hot flashes have really subsided.

So Bradley, you are in this for the fitness end of things I imagine cuz your picture looks fine.

I too was horrible, and I was doing so good. Not only ate a lot of bad things but put back several beers to go along with it. UGH I'll start again today, go to the gym, weigh and hope the damage was not as bad as it feels. So everyone, just don't beat yourself up too much. Today is a new day

Eat three meals a day with a couple snacks. YEP sounds crazy huh? I thought so too, but it works - and using this site helps you to easily keep track of the calories. I have found this site to be my key. Not only by tracking my calories and exercise but by reading other peoples posts. A typical day I may have kashi 7 whole…

You are definately not eating enough calories. Bad for a couple reasons. Also, how long can you possibly be happy just eating soup? There are so many other good foods you can eat throughout the day and maintain the 1200 calories easily, feel satisfied and not deprived.

I know how you feel I've been dieting for almost two months now, the first couple weeks I maybe lost 1/2 pound. But sticking with it and my exercise I can finally say that I have lost 6 pounds and the bulk of that has been the last few weeks. Keep it up, it will happen. I would still rather be 6 pounds down in two months…

I know it is hard to keep up with bringing healthy food everyday. Which is why in my drawer at work I keep the Kashi Cereal Bars, peanut butter and several small cans of tuna. So when I can't get my s*!t together in the morning I have something to fall back on. It has taken me almost two months to loose 6 pounds. UGH
