Thanks for all the helpful advise! :flowerforyou:

Sounds like I have room to raise my ambitions :) A 5K is not that long jogging alone, but I'm jogging pushing a stroller this time, which will be a new challenge. I plan to stay at this as he grows (and gains weight) so maybe aiming for a 7k pushing him can be our next goal  I look forward to the day we can do runs…

Thanks everyone! I love how quickly we can get answers here :) Sounds like a short slow walk with plenty of stretching is the best bet. I would call myself a new runner since i am still getting back into it. This will be my first run post-baby, and he will be along for the ride too so can't wait! Happy running!!

None of my large undies fit anymore! I can finally go back to my big drawer of pretty mediums :)

I pray regularly and ask God to continue helping me improve myself, being a better mom, stronger person, ect. Getting fit has been spiritual too since it goes along with those prayers and because you go through struggles and find yourself searching for strength to continue and reinvest your hopes. I don't pray for God to…

I started here b/c of baby weight too. I am only 3 lbs from my pre-baby weight now, but still have a bit more to make it to my "pre-dating" weight. It's a life- long battel, but this site has been great! I couldn't have lost it so quickly without it. :flowerforyou:

I have a jug from the hospital that's just over 1 Liter. I drink at least 3 a day, but sometimes up to 5 or 6. It's not an option when you are trying to make enough mommy milk for a 6 month old

I would like to be included :) The last 10 is usually the hardest and I can tell my loss curve is slowing steadily.

I think you are on to something when you say that her experience with watching weight loss has looked like illness to her. However that is the main point- getting healthy! Your weight loss is for the goal of being healthy, not getting thin depsite how 'unhealthly' that may be. Maybe focus on the health aspect with her when…

I agree with: "Eat the dinner we had or go to bed hungry." It's our job as parents to teach the importance of nutrition, but also just to secure who is the boss. Going to bed hungry for a few nights will not hurt her and will be worth it in the long run. Just expect the temper tantrum because there will be a battle, but…

Jacksonville is on the south coast. The run is in Wilmington which is in the same area pretty much.

I'm in Jacksonville. I would love a running partner! I usually go with my son in the jogger, or I take my two huskies. There is 5K for the March of Dimes on Sept 3rd that we are getting ready for.

Quick oats, almond milk, handful of almonds and a pear. And coffee of course :)

Peeing in the shower can actually help reduce foot fungus/ athletes foot as well. So steppn on it isn't so bad as long as it's yours. ;)

I'd rather my guy peed in the back yard before he did in the sink. At least there is no clean up.

I agree with the bigger diaper theory. Same happened to my son. I have even used a diaper that is probably one size too big since he's not crawling anywhere anyway. Worked great for nighttime :)

When I took a belly dancing class we used hula hoops as part of out workouts. When hooping we would lift a bar for weight and do squats up and down. Really teaches you balance, and tons of fun! :)

One of my original goals was to make 155 by Christmas, so if we are setting personal goals with the common deadline of Christmas '11 that sounds great :)

Original quick oats oatmeal. The old fashioned tub has almost no sugar, is low cal, and feels very 'carby' even though its not that high. Sometimes I add a spoonful of peanut butter after to get some fat and protein to balance. Very filling :)

I wanted to become a mermaid. I was sure it was possible since all grownups told me I could be 'anything I wanted to be.' But my pediatrician told me I could never be a mermaid since they didnt exist :( So then I wanted to be a vet. I didn't change my mind until God changed my heart in high school and taught me to love ppl…

Maybe look into the lower sugar fruits like pears vs the sugar loaded bananas. You might be able to stratigize that way :)
-
Since you are focusing on veggies; I have read that orange and purple veggies have shown to help skin the most. :) You might want to also check your cholesterol levels to see if that could be a factor. Hope it goes well!

Wow, you look amazing! You also dropped 10 years or more! So cool :flowerforyou:

The best way to cleanse your body is to eat healthy foods with plenty of water. That is all you need. Your liver, kidneys, colon, and many other working parts all 'cleanse' on a regular basis. It can in fact be harmful to do any kind of artificial 'flush' and can even cause permanent damage. I recommend not messing with…
