You could also do a bit of education on food advertising. Fat has got a bad rap for many years, mostly through advertising. A little education on food and their effects helped me to understand more about what I eat. Good luck and great job on the transformation to a better life.

Nope. I had my quota when I was much younger. The 19 years sober me feels great. Don't miss the hangovers either.

I bought a fast food meal years ago while out and about in the car. It was a summer day. I remember getting back into the car after the windows had been up and the car setting in the sun. The smell of fast food wrappers about made me barf. I believe that day to be my turning point on using fast food for nutritional…

My fiance and I went on vacation to an island in the Caribbean owned by the Netherlands and both the men AND the women were most always taller that us. It was interesting to say the least

You could easily be exchanging fat loss for muscle gain. That is definitely a win win for you Lemon oil is a natural appetite suppressant.

I can reach down and tie my work boots without almost blowing a gasket. It is interesting how the style of shoe change as a person loses weight (think velcro closing running shoes), i.e. going from "slip ons" to a "tie up" style shoe, or instead of "stomping" their feet into their "tie up" shoes, they now can tie them up…

steel cut oats, almonds, raspberries, coconut sugar, almond milk, kefir, chia seed, all in one bowl, approx 500 cal. yum yum!

It has been taco pizza lately. After many years of vacationing and eating the local cuisine, I have really learned to appreciate a good meal. I thrive on local and fresh ingredients if possible.

I usually get the chicken breast when I go. As another poster said, I don't really think that the price is fair (anymore). One thing that always amazes me is that the McDonald's across the street from our Subway is always packed . . . every day . . . while the Subway has it's few customers coming and going, except for…

That is about my take on it. I live in a very quiet neighborhood along the river. On weekends it seems that everyone waits (within a couple of block area) for the "other guy" to start his mower first, then it's guns a blazon', everyone mowing. It is a win win because it is quiet most of the time, then when it is mowing…

I would certainly not rule out salt OR sugar. Restaurant food has tons of hidden salt and sugar in it. Also, I would be sure not to "drink my calories" when out and about, especially if you don't "count" calories. I normally question my own judgement on counting calories so I tend to count high in an effort to stay within…

Quite a nice transformation. You obviously worked very hard. You look great. Thanks for sharing!

First album was Jefferson Airplane - (don't remember name) First 8 track was probably something by Jimi Hendrix Three Dog Night, recorded by me onto cassette from a borrowed album. (That was real hi tech back in the day.) :) First CD was Phil Collins - No Jacket Required

I eat steel cut oats, walnuts, chia seeds, coconut sugar, fresh or frozen blueberries, with almond milk for breakfast. It will get you up around 600 cal. for 1/4 cup oats with extras. It is a great way to start your day, plus you get the benefit of the calories and complex carbs. The sky is the limit from there. Almonds…

Here is a great website that offers a "plan" to eventually get to where you want to be in (your nutrition) life. http://nutritiondata.self.com/topics/better-choices-diet I see a post that says "just give up". That statement, I hope, was just said in irony (or poor taste in jokes). In somewhat support of such a ridiculous…
