Yes, you can lose weight with only dieting. I don't know if 1200 calories is specifically what you should be eating. It varies based on your current weight and height. Try to find some sort of calculator online that will tell you the proper amount you should be eating to lose weight based on your current height and weight…

Sure you can. Millions of people maintain their weight every day and they don't track what they eat. Some people can and some people can't.

You are right, the contestants on the biggest loser are able to lose a lot of weight in a short amount of time without very many consequences it seems. So it would seem that there is nothing wrong with losing that much weight that fast and people here are just being killjoys with their continuous chanting of 'just exercise…

I understand how you are feeling. When you start a weight loss program, you want to lose some weight and obviously gaining weight is not going to make you very happy. Some people will say, don't worry about the scale, but that is incredibly hard to do. I would just say keep at it for another week. If you gain more, then…

Honestly, yes you could lose a lot of weight if you ate only vegetables. A guess a lot of people here aren't going to tell you that because they don't want you to do it, but yes, you can lose a lot of weight in a short amount of time because vegetables are usually pretty low calorie. The question is not, can you, the…

Yes, I think you may be developing an eating disorder. Your way of thinking seems a bit disordered. The fact that you say that you are obsessed with food is what is really concerning for me. That is very typical of anorexics. I'm not saying you have an eating disorder, but you may be on your way toward one and I would…

If you're exercising, you should be eating more than 1200 calories. If MFP sets your calorie goal to 1200 and you burn 400 calories working out, then you are allowed to eat around 1600 calories total.

Whatever chart you were looking at was simply wrong. Any BMI below 18.5 is underweight. 19 to 24 is pretty much normal. 25 to 29 is overweight. 30 to 39 are class 1 and class 2 obesity. Anything over 40 is extreme obesity.

Macros are the things in your food other than calories, like fat. I think when people talk about macros versus calories, they are talking about being healthy, versus losing weight. For example, you can lose weight just as long as you stay under a certain amount of calories, so theoretically I could lose weight just eating…

I have the Polar FT7 and it works great for me.

While, it probably won't kill you to lose 20 pounds per month, it's not generally considered a good thing to do because it's hard to maintain and you may end up losing lean tissue and not just fat. Here is a good article on it from the mayo clinic.…

(1) I don't really like this buzzwords like body shaming. I feel like they take away from us just talking about real issues like real human beings. I try to focus on each individual instance and not on some general buzzword term that tries to cover everything and just misses the whole point. (2)People have the right to…

You need to talk to your spouse and tell them that the negative comments hurt you, otherwise, how will they know that what they said is making you sad if you don't tell them. They are not a mind reader. In their head, they could view it as being helpfully critical, but you don't see it that way and you need to let them…

It is an amazing show. Once it takes off, it never slows down. You will love and hate most of the main characters at some point.

I would suggest a Polar FT4 or Polar FT7. They would both be under $120. They measure heart rate and show how many calories you have burned.

Great job. I am have the same goal as you and am about the same height and was close to the same starting weight. Gives me hope that it can be done.

I have had this happen to me. There have been days where I have gone over my calories and still lost weight. I have found that it is because I generally do more exercise than I log. For example, I walk to my gym, but I never log that as exercise. And then sometimes, things actually have fewer calories in them than I think…

I pull them out of my *kitten* generally. I tend to eat oatmeal for breakfast. I can eat 2 packets for 260 calories or 320 calories. For lunch I may have a sandwich and that is typically around 300 or 350 calories. I usually add some chips or some fruit to go with it. Dinner is all over the place.

Honestly, if you really want to do this and are serious, you need to overhaul your sleep schedule and their sleep schedule. If they're 1 and 3, they can take naps during the day and you can exercise when they nap. I know they don't take them now, but you have the power to change that. Alternately, you can get them a little…

I know exactly how you feel. People may say, don't worry about the scale and just worry about health or just take measurements, but in reality for a lot of us, the number on the scale is important. We don't want it to be and we don't want to obsess over it, but we do and that's normal. It may not be the most productive…

I would eat an entire medium pizza from Dominos sometimes and still be hungry.

I want to lose weight, mostly to look better. Good health is just an added benefit honestly and I feel like most people feel that way, but it's not a proper thing to say.
