*** Other than that any stories I have are about me wanting to bodycheck someone off my preferred treadmill.

There was the guy who slid up to me while I was talking to the guys at the front desk to ask if I was new and would I like him to show me around? The guys at the desk took care of it for me by reminding him that he just joined Tuesday. (This was the first week of the year.) And that considering I was there every day, he…

I have a pair of Ariats. These are the closest I could find, but mine don't have all the fancy swirls on the shaft, just a slightly different leather color. Love them. I can wear them with just about anything. I wear them to work, I wear them to ride, I wear them out... As already said, cowgirl up!

Both are equally creepy to me, but at least option 2 gives you a less awkward way of confronting it.

So, here's one that didn't really occur to me until early this week: Community When I first started going to the gym 8 or 9 months ago, I was uncomfortable. Worried I would make a fool of myself doing something, or someone would be a dick and I wouldn't want to go back. I did a couple classes, then I ventured into the…

Heeeeeeyyyyy. Grew up just a couple hours from you in central Mississippi (am in Virginia now). I know what lagniappe is, but more importantly, I know what gumbo, a roux, etouffee, boudin, jambalaya, and a poutine are! And I devoutly miss the real thing for all that. Extra points for remembering (and going through) that…

Also though, Pixi brand Shea Butter lip Balm in Coral Crush. It's sheer for just a touch of color (I initially though, whoa, too bright too bright, but I was wrong). Also though, it's perfect to dot and blend on the apple of your cheeks for a fresh blush look.

AGREED!! I have 5 tins of this floating around at all times. One for my nightstand, one for my handbag, one for my gym bag, one in my desk drawer, one that moves around my house as needed. Best stuff in the world. I give it as part of a little "happy gift" all the time and create addicted converts every time.

Me too!! It's the first area I go to when I go into a clothing store! It's like work clothes or even casual clothes are secondary.

During and after a good run I'm so focused. Also, if I'm stressed out my brain has a way of working out or around the problem during a run without actively thinking on it. Very rewarding.

NUTS!! And maybe not even the calorie count, but more the serving size. I really had no concept of serving size vs calorie count for nuts. I had to be putting away hundreds of calories just grazing a little every time I walked by the container.

Marjorie, you can click on their name and bring up their profile. That will usually allow you to click the green button that says "Add as Friend"

Feel free to add me! I just reached my maintenance stage after a 60 lb loss. I am almost always (maybe even annoyingly) positive. Also, I just love seeing a feed full of people who are in it to win it!

You said you tried soy, almond and coconut... did you just not like them or do they give you the same result as dairy? I use the vanilla soy milk, which I LOVE, but if it won't work for you that's not an answer. What about any of the sugar free flavored syrups? Torani has a HUGE selection.

Agreed. As I read it I kept thinking... yes.

Go, enjoy, log if you want, don't if you don't. It's one day, and a special one at that. You don't want your focus to be on what you do or don't eat or drink. Celebrate, and best wishes to your friend!

Since I'm wearing one of them today: Being able to take hand me downs from my 16 year old athlete niece. Lately she keeps getting taller and I keep getting smaller. It's working out very, very well for me. Yay!

I read the title of this thread and it was like the heavens opened and I heard harps. Pecans are my favorite nuts. Will be doing this over the weekend. Also: Ding ding! Why have I never thought of this?

When I was losing, I ate them back if I was hungry, didn't if I wasn't. Lost 60-ish lbs in about 9-10 months. Now that I'm maintaining (just started recently), I eat them back if I'm hungry, I don't if I'm not. For instance though, date night tonight and what i didn't eat back last night? That's buying me a beer or two.

I pulled out an (old) pair of control top tights this morning to wear under a dress to work. A: I had no need ta all of the control top. B: My size is so dramatically different from the last time I wore them that the tops are bunched up at the top of my things and the crotch keeps slipping down. I'm just like when I was a…

I just started working with a trainer in December because I wanted to start lifting and do so in a way to get the most benefit without injuring myself. After my initial assessment, she put together a 3 phase plan. She works with me for the first days of each one and as I get more comfortable, I do it on my own. So, At the…

Awwwww. That's awesome.

I have this one too! Or in the tub! Also not realizing/recognizing the loss myself.

I've wondered that. I've also been the person that just blew a couple of people off after a date because I couldn't figure out how to say, "Sorry, just not into it." I have figured that out now, and do that consistently when it isn't working for me and hope they will as well. That said, yesterday afternoon I set a date for…

I've had so many awful dates I could write a book. Boat boy who got drunk while we were out on the boat, then couldn't find the dock. The guy my mother *found* for me who looked only at me, without blinking, for the entire length of the movie we were watching. In the theatre. The guy who met me for lunch who told me he was…

Pretty much just what I was thinking. :\

Happy for anyone to add me. I'm 5'2", 40s. SW:184 lbs CW: 127-ish UGW: 124 -- to be followed by some recomp. Continued fat burning/strength building. 3 lbs!! Only 3 lbs to go!

I put it on a slight incline (level 2-3) and that helps my shins. I walk for 5 minutes before really getting started. Oh, suggested to me by a MFPer... if I get bored, I do a tempo run. 2 minutes at 5mph, 2 minutes at 5.3, 2 minutes and 5.6, on up until I reach my max. then I'll slow it back down and start over. I find…

Hey sunshine! You're already on my friend list, but I'm a good example of "you can do it!" I am 5'2". I started at 185, will be 125 in a few weeks (127 today. ;) ). The things I can say are: Take it day by day. If the overall goal seems too big, set smaller/closer goals. My original goal weight was 145, and even that…

LOL, this is me, but I was proud to have gone down to about 45. I'm originally from Mississippi, live in Virginia now and I headed to the treadmill/track back in October. Wimpy wimpy.
