Hey, so yesterday I tried doing my run on a very small incline as suggested above. It really helped. Just one try, but I'll keep it up. No pain even in the first mile....

I would agree with that. Just saying that in my conversations with my family, I'm trying to stress that they can't discount this university or that university and because of stories that come to light, because in this case, may not be true, in others, there may be unreported true cases. However this ends up, it highlights…

I am following it. I work at another state university in VA, soooo.... relevant to me. My brother-in-law went to UVA undergrad and has always held UVA up as an excellent option for any of my three nieces. He and my sis have both said that after that article, they are hesitant to continue pushing UVA. That's a big, BIG…

I do, I do!! And I LOVE it. I have killed 2 other blenders in the past 8 months with my morning smoothie recipe, but the Ninja is a hoss. Really, I only have my morning breakfast smoothie from it, but happy to share the recipe. It carries me through to 12 or 12:30 every day easy. I love it and my day is incomplete without…

And having a long enough warm-up? That's alleviated shin pain for me.

I was kind of like that when I switched to treadmill for winter. Just a little disorientation. It passed. Now, I'm working out at my sister's on her treadmill this week, different environment and treadmill. I've experienced it a little again.

Last night after my nieces went to bed, I tried on my 16 yo niece's size 7 American Eagle skinny jeans. Not only did they look good, the waist was a little big and I WAS WEARING SKINNY JEANS. That was amazeballs.

Love the red wall!! I go for artificial. I barely keep my regular houseplants alive and watered and they're all cacti. Plus, I go to my folks at Christmas for almost 2 weeks. My tree is 3 feet tall that I shove in/pull out of a big storage [read: trash] bag every Christmas.

Before at 184-ish: Now at 134-ish (I fluctuate depending on workouts/sodium):

If I'm feeling peckish I'll have a Kind Chewy with a Crunch bar. Love them and it's a good pick me up and hour or so before I work out. Just finished today's Maple Pumpkin Seed bar. Yummy.

If it's bad then I don't wanna be good. And actually, I wouldn't be able to function enough to be good. Or bad. This is the mug my co-workers bought for me:

Hey, add me! I'm 5'2". Started at 184, am down to 134. Want to get down to about 125 - 120. A TIGHT 125-120. :)

This is my light box as well! I use it for 30 minutes every morning while I check the news online and wake up with my coffee. Got it 2 years ago and it helped tremendously. Last year, I didn't use it as much and was BLAH again. I made sure to pull it out this year as soon as it started getting dark earlier. This one also…

I'm at Virginia Tech... all we do around here is the Hokie Pokie. :p

I use the Wahoo Tickr as well. I wonder sometimes about the accuracy of it, so I try not to eat back more than 1/2 to 2/3 of my calories from it (if I eat them back at all, this week post-holiday there is NONE OF THAT ALLOWED). I love being able to see it. it motivates me to work harder and longer.

^^^^ This. Me too. I don't get dressed before I leave work, but that's a good idea. I hit the gym on the way home. Maybe if you were dressed to work out when you got home, you would be more likely to do it. If timing for letting the dog out is a problem, make that a little more energetic and make it part of your workout...…

I'm going to guess that this is already in the responses posted, but I don't have time to read the pages and pages, so... Please be aware of any inherent bias that may be held by the author of any article. It can drive hypothesis, research and findings in very subtle ways that are difficult to recognize. Researchers'…

I don't know how far you have to travel to work, but for me... if I make it home at the end of the day without exercising, I'm probably dust for the day. I take my gym bag and stop at the gym on the way home. If you aren't using a gym and are exercising at home, change clothes before you leave the office. For me, it just…

This is really good to know about the PB2. I use it in my smoothie every morning and this makes a difference.

Hey, so I'm a little taller than you and was a little heavier (5'2", 185). I had a slow start, wasn't on here yet, but mine eventually kicked in and I have lost around 50 lbs. This thread http://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/discussion/1296011/calorie-counting-101/p1 on calorie counting and logging accurately really helped…

I was too, but I had SO MUCH FUN. I still have fun, but responsibility has crept in. And I get tired by 10pm. Not all the time, but sometimes I long for the days when exciting, potentially dangerous or reckless options were met with "Hell yes." Rather than, "I wonder if my insurance will cover me if this goes wrong?"

Ha. Meeeee too. 21 for a few days.

Without the burning and ruining part, that sounds wonderful.

Google waist trimmer belt. I bet that's what it was.

I've changed several times, it kept going down. I'm now where my goals are really more focused on measurements than weight.

I beer, and I give zero you-know-what's for anybody who dares to give me grief over my beloved Sweet Baby Jesus peanut butter chocolate porter. I do drink others too, that's just my most recent fave. :#
