A little light stretching as I am getting dressed and pulling my hair back. I would walk the first few blocks, taking each block faster and faster until I reached the fourth block and then start off running. The stiffness went away quite quickly!

I used to run before work (then my schedule changed and I have to be to work at 6 a.m. so that is no longer an option) BUT when I did-it was the best way to start my day! I always felt so energized and ready to go by 8 a.m.! As said by another poster, I made sure everything was ready to go the night before for my lunch and…

Are you freakin serious????? I am TWICE your age. I used to sit on my bed and catch this sight out of the corner of my eye and then I realized that was MY BUTT. A person is not supposed to see their own butt out of the corner of their eye when they sit! When I would go to the bathroom I would be in tears because my GUT was…

47 here. I started Jan. 20, 2011 and by Sept.12 I had lost 58 pounds and I have kept MOST of it off for a year now. No crazy diets here. I wanted this weight loss to be something that I could maintain the rest of my life, not just until the weight was gone. Just watching what went in my mouth and counting EVERYTHING that…

A few years ago I had met an attractive younger man who had sent me a message that said "Got MILF". I had no idea what it meant and assumed the worst so I didn't pursue him any further. WOW was I wrong! Too bad I didn't know then what I know now! I do find it mildly offensive in general, but if the right guy refers to me…

With an attitude like that after all you have been through, I have faith that you will succeed! Just remember there will be bad days, there will be good days and then there will be GREAT days like today! Keep it up!

Same thing happened to me. And then I lowered my calories and I am still maintaining that gain from a couple months back. Guess it is time to do more research and change things up. Definitely a roller coaster ride. Don't get too discouraged, think of it as a challenge or a puzzle if you will. Put all the pieces in the…

Ice and elevate? No expert here-I experience the same thing when I bike. I can run and run and run and not feel any pain, but the peddling on a bike just bugs the heck out of my left knee. Ice and Tylenol seem to help

No, not bias...just lazy. I thought I would just hit the high points. If you want full disclosure, do the research yourself.

Nothing made up about it. I was just stating some facts that a lot of people are not aware of. If you are offended....don't read or better yet, don't respond.

Thank you!

Look for the over 40 women who are tired of the drama and games!

Interesting-I wonder if I can get the bf to eat something "healthy".

I take a multi-vitamin "energy" formula, a flax gel cap and a magnesium pill. Ha-can't even remember what prompted me to start the magnesium (I think I read somewhere it is supposed to help with cravings, but it hasn't helped). So I am just finishing up the bottle and won't take after that is gone. I had also taken a…

I did my run today WITHOUT undies, just the panty liner in the running shorts. Felt weird at first and kinda got a wedgie the first mile, but after that I didn't even notice! AND once i got home I did some garden maintenance that I have been neglecting since it has been so hot and there was a slight breeze that really felt…

NO BRA?!?!!?:noway: My girls would be screaming at me the WHOLE time! (Plus the other runners would definitely get a show!) Heck-I not only wear a sports bra but also the sports tank with the built in bra! Tried running once in just the sports bra and a t-shirt and that will never happen again! I am so jealous of those…

And wearing a THONG while running WOULDN'T be a distraction? Woahhhhh-baby.....
-
OK-so my next run will be without the unders and I will see how it goes. Always up for something new!

I don't mean to laugh at your discomfort but the fact that you said you are going to "monitor" the chafing seriously made me laugh out loud!
-
Thanks for the input. I assumed I was the odd one out, but I sweat so much that if I don't, my shorts look like I wet myself! :grumble:

Francesco D Aniello, an Italian shooter in the men's double trap. Pretty sure I have never seen this event or this athlete. I wish they had a male and a female preference but then again I doubt that there are many female athletes with my body (thank GOD!)

Impressive!!! Keep up the great job! BTW-Love the hair!

I have always eaten back my exercise calories (I love food) and lost 55 pounds doing so. Everyone is different. I think the key (for ME) was to use those extra calories to eat HEALTHY food, not just eat anything to reach that magic number. Watch your macros. Good luck-just figure out what is right for YOU and take everyone…

^^^THIS^^^ Very smart woman here!
-
I would hand her my piece of cake and say something like "I love my body too much to eat this, but obviously don't care, so here, have mine." :drinker:

I am right there with ya! 55-60 pounds gone and I feel like my body still looks the same (with the rolls and folds) but it is a much smaller size. I am 5'7" 155ish pounds but still have the muffin top. When I get really frustrated at the mirror I run up and down the stairs a couple of times to remind myself that I am much…

47 here and wore a two piece suit to the beach last month for the first time EVER in my life! I will never have a model's body but I decided that it was now or never. At first I was a little self conscious but after a while I forgot all about it and enjoyed the sun! I earned every single one of my "Tiger Stripes" and "…

Seriously just 18 weeks?! AMAZING! In the grand scheme of things 18 weeks is a pretty short time. I know there has been a lot of sweat and probably a few tears and maybe even some blood, but it obviously paying off! Keep it up and GREAT job!
-
Weeks? Heck I have DAYS like that! (I know-you shouldn't weigh everyday...blah-blah-blah). Keep at it, drink your water, watch your salt...just think how happy you will be next week when you weigh in and you will be DOWN those four plus a couple more!
