  • Really upset with myself for getting to the point where I have to say 'I need to lose 100ish lbs.' 4 years ago I lost 60 on here, was running 5ks and doing mud runs. Fast forward a few years and being this fat is uncomfortable. I want to climb stairs and not feel like I am having to pull myself up them. I want to sit…
  • Trying to lose about 100 lbs which seems daunting. Have been here before though and lost 60 lbs then. I try to be active on here and a good cheering section. Would really love some friends with open food diaries...I get bored with my meals pretty quick so I like the inspiration.
  • Would love to be friends with any of you that have a large amount to lose (50+ lbs) as I am aiming for almost 100 lbs. Gawd...I cringe every time I write that :-( Anyways, let's support and motivate each other if you are interested :-)
  • I have almost 100 to lose. I'll be here for a long while so would love friends to journey through this with. Feel free to add me, please.
  • Sending you a friend request, Amanda. I have a similar amount to lose.
  • Other than the north west, I have travelled all over the US and I have to say my favorite city by far is Savannah, Georgia. It is a truly beautiful city, rich in history and full of things to do. You can ride bicycles all over the city, safely. And the food...OH MY!
  • There are lots of recipes for steel cut oatmeal in the crockpot. I make a batch on Sunday night and put it into individual bowls. It's good for a few days and its very filling. And so easy peasy!
  • Let's do it! It's not my first trip down this road either :(
  • Hi Laura! It's really hard to eat well when your schedule is crazy, huh? I find for myself consistency is the only was I can stay on track and my life feels anything but consistent lol. Let's journey together!
  • You are beautiful! I doubt people look at you and think about cheeseburgers lol
  • Any of ya feel free to add me. I've got about 80 more to lose so I will be here for a while! Pretty active and supportive of those that are truly making the effort. I did this once before and lost 60. And then put about 50 of it back on over a year :-( This time I am bringing my partner along for the journey so he won't be…
  • Their website has nutritional values on it. Check it out.
  • Rather it's 29 or 290 it's a challenge for most of us to stay on track on a daily basis. MFP is a great starting point though. Best of luck to you as you begin your journey!
  • Gone Girl....first time in a long time I got to the end of a book and was dumbfounded by all the twists and the ending.
  • I wish I had the secret to how to cut one LOL. We (meaning my man) cut it long wise using a sharp butcher knife. It appears it takes some serious arm muscle as I just cant seem to get it opened myself. Once he has cut it open, I scrape the seeds out and put the halves on a cookie sheet. I sprinkle some salt and pepper on…
  • Skinnytaste.com has some excellent recipes for ground turkey. They have an asian meatball recipe that is amazing. Earlier this week we had their sloppy joes and I substituted ground turkey for the ground beef and it was BEYOND FABULOUS! I ate the leftovers over spaghetti squash instead of on a bun to save the carbs and…
  • I was running at about 225. Was a HUGE help in losing the weight the first time. Didn't bother my knee at all even after having knee surgery the year before.
  • I can always use more positive, motivating friends that like the same in return. Feel free to add me!
  • I had donuts sitting outside my office last week. First I check the calories on everything and that was a pretty good deterrent and then I allowed myself one bite because I knew how long I would have to spend on the elliptical to work it off. Good luck to you today!
  • Thank you, all! I guess in the past that I felt buying clothes as I lost weight was 'reward' enough. Which is exactly how I gained all this weight back...by taking care of everyone around me except me. Maybe it's time to put me first though. Appreciated hearing your thoughts on this matter :-)
  • Took me a minute to understand this HA! Should we celebrate though or console?
  • Y'all feel welcome to add me as I am right there with ya. Spent a year on here losing 60+ lbs and then spent the last 18 months gaining every pound of it right back :-( This time it plus more is coming off and staying off as I have decided my inner self is too dayum sexy to be this fat :D
  • <insert sarcastic tone> As one of the people you are referring to, I appreciate your concern for my obesity. I think for most of us fatties though, losing half our body weight would be a MAJOR victory. Then again, we didn't start at 160 lbs.
  • You look so happy! Very inspiring. Thank you for posting this.
  • This is my second time on map. Lost 60 the first time and then got busy taking care of those around me and neglected myself. Now i come first! I was/am a daily logger with an open food diary. Wanting to lose in the 90 lb range. If you have similar goals feel welcome to add me.
  • What sort of motivation do you need from pals to stay on track? If you log regularly, have an open food diary and can take constructive criticism as well as give it..... We have a pretty similar loss goal :) feel welcome to add me.
  • This person is pretty smart in all her advice. She summed it all up beautifully! Congratulations on making that first step towards a healthier you. Not every day will be a success. Just do your best :)

  • Yay! This is a great post! It's wonderful to hear how much you are enjoying your bike.Keep on peddling and those pounds are going to fall off! I have a love/hate relationship with mine. I love to ride but I hate how it makes my tush feel. All that cushion I have back there...it makes NO SENSE! LOL
  • I too am back for a second go-round. Gained back every pound that I lost :-( It's going to take me a while to do that again so I am likely to be here for ummm....ever? LOL. Feel free to add me. I'm active daily on here.
  • So nice to see so many of us 'restarting". I felt pretty crappy about myself having to admit it was time to rejoin MFP. Lost over 60 lbs. two years ago. Have slowly gained it all back. It's hard to find time to take care of ourselves. May this time be the final restart for us all :-)
