  • You body weight can easily swing 5 pounds based on how hydrated you are, when the last time you ate or had a bowel movement was, and so on. For most consistent results, weigh yourself first thing in the morning, preferably fully evacuated. Incidentally, this is also a lower weight than any other time of the day.
  • wait you can't eat ENOUGH calories? eat more carbs
  • well carbs and fats are both just different delivery forms of calories. I would rather eat more fat than carbs

  • good compound lifts like squats will help build up your quads and hamstrings and will make you more explosive, but that'll mostly help with sprints, I don't know how good it would be for distance running
  • oats, oats, oats I also eat eggs but you said you don't like them, but oats with a bit of honey and some cinnamon is amazing
  • on MFP, I don't think it matters, it doesn't calculate how many calories you burn with weights like it does for cardio, or maybe I'm wrong, but I didn't think it did. as far as calories go, I on days I lift, I go for my BMR resting maintenance calories, and on days I don't lift I go for a 500 deficit
  • stop trying to play tricks on yourself and start taking ownership for what you do, you'll never succeed if you're dishonest with yourself
  • I try to avoid all food that is white (with the exception of cauliflower). White foods are almost totally nutritionally void and just a source of empty calories. Instead of a baked potato, try a baked sweet potato or make mashed potatoes but replace the potatoes with cauliflower.

  • cut out most of your carbs, especially simple sugars, and you'll be amazed at how much actual food you can eat. eat lots of veggies and other food with lots of fiber, and eat lots of protein because those will all fill you up and keep you full longer

  • they can be a waste of calories depending on what goes into them. I have whey protein shakes a lot of times after a workout, and add things like yogurt and berries to it, I don't consider that a waste of calories. If I were to go to Jamba Juice and get a peanut butter shake I would consider that a waste of colories
  • well from what I hear, for some people it's bad, and for some people, it's not so bad. If you've been loosing at something like one or two pounds a week, it shouldn't be that bad according to most of what I've read. Most people think the skin is some kind of bag around your body that once it stretches out, it's stuck that…
  • fats not bad for you, and avocado is one of the healthiest sources of fat around, you need fat for things like hair and nails, as well as absorption of some vitamins and minerals. Just be careful not to eat too many calories when you eat fat because fat has more calories per gram than carbs and protein. Just because it's…
  • gaining a little weight shouldn't keep you from quitting smoking. quitting smoking was one of the best things I did, it helped me workout harder and longer, I took up swimming to help with my breathing, it also helped me from starting again because I knew what that smoke did to me when I was in the pool. Good luck…
