Stressing can make you miss. Unless you are either super low weight, or super under your cals and overburning I wouldn't think it was just the exercise. Do you take vitamins and eat well balanced meals? Sometimes a lack of a specific nutrient can also make you miss. And sometimes you just might miss a period. It can…

I'm right there with you. I started at 225 and I'm now in the 170s. Hoping to kill the last 50 lbs this year so I'm loving this thread.

Don't drink it? Try a chunk of chicken or a protein bar or a tablespoon of pb. so many ways to get protein, stupid to try and choke down something you don't like.

I haven't seen snow in years. Last night was the first under freezing in two winters for us. You could ship some for me? I love a little cold.

I got a bad yearly health exam and bloodwork AND my friend was getting married and I had to buy a size 20 dress. And looked awful in it! No thanks. I realized that no food was worth feeling that bad.

Congrats, you look great!

Just keep swimming just keep swimming, swimming swimming. Really though, I just say "this is what the new healthy me would do."

Anything or nothing. Sometimes black. Sometimes milk and sugar. Sometimes honey and lemon. Today I added cinnamon and Stevia. I'm a teaholic. I'll pretty much take any type any day any way. :)

Great job! Love seeing your joy.

I tried dieting. Didn't work for me. It wasn't until I realized I hated being fat more than I disliked healthy eating and exercise that I finally made health my lifestyle and saw real results. Some days I'm not in love with what I'm putting in my mouth, but I'm giving my body good fuel and it is happy. Fortunately my mouth…

Sounds like he does need a steeper deficit. Probably because his current deficit isn't what he thinks.

Depends what type of yoga. Jillian michaels has a yoga inferno video that combines cardio with yoga for strength and balance. My husband did it with a hrm and burned 250 calories in about 25 minutes. Not too bad considering he half assed a lot of it because of a hurt back. I definitely feel like I've gotten a good workout…

I did a lot of them early on. They helped to keep my calorie count low and to shrink my tummy. Eventually I got sick of them and am now eating real whole foods. But I fully believe that I couldn't have done it without learning from proportioned meals. My only warning is that you may want to add in two servings of veggies…

I started using a salad plate to eat dinner off of and it really does help me to naturally select smaller portions. :) I tried my kids plates, but I feel more adult eating off a pretty plate.

Sounds like a possibility. My friend had to have hers removed. Pain was intermittent but extremely painful when it occurred. She is all better now that it is out.

A. Same birthday as my daughter. :) happy birthday. B. Stick with veggies and avoid dessert if you are worried about going over. If not, enjoy the cheese. Or just plan to enjoy yourself, track your damage and plan on going back into losing mode for as long as it takes to get back to maintenance. Just pick one plan and go…

What do you like? Buy yourself a new tshirt with a tight fit, or new jeans, buy a heart rate monitor, put money away for an awesome trip or concert you want to see. New house items, new car items. Not into spending money? Volunteer your time somewhere. Go on a local hike. Take . Learn a new hobby every month. Spend time…

agreed. It is essential to do it to please yourself because nobody else really matters. But if you are, it certainly can't hurt (IMO) to also use other motivations to fuel some extra workout burn. You just shouldn't hold your gauge of success off of their reactions. Since it almost certainly won't be as great as you want.…

Ha, yeah. The way I figure, as long as you want to lose weight or get into shape mostly to please yourself, then using any other side motivations can't hurt. For me... I was passed over for a job for a hotter girl. Apparently our resumes were very similar and the manager who was hiring is notorious for hiring good looking…
