@AlphaHowls That is insane mileage! I can't believe you might hit 500! I love your pictures. @polskagirl01 I would maybe do the C210K program to work on eliminating walks. I've been trying to run everything except uphills lately. @Scott6255 Hopefully it will start cooling down for everyone soon. The temps are a little…

16 miles with speed play - finished. The plan called for .5 mi Z1, 1 mi Z2, 14x(.25 mi Z3, .75 mi Z2), .5 mi Z1. It wasn't bad, but there were definitely a few of the faster intervals that were not as speedy as they could have been. However, I did finish this 16 mile run 23 minutes faster than the one I did last month, so…

@polskagirl01 Great job at your race! It sounds like a tough course. @eleanorhawkins I agree with everyone else about seeing how you feel that day and running what you can and walking the rest. It has been a rough week due to work, personal stressors, and weather. I shifted runs around to get them in when I could.…

@eleanorhawkins I'm so sorry that the Omeprazole messed up the tests and that you have to do them over. I'm sorry that you also had to DNS your race. I think it was probably the best call though. I hope you can get all of this figured out and get to feeling better very soon. @polskagirl01 Good luck on your race Saturday!…

@eleanorhawkins I know that pain must be really scary for you, and I hope they can figure out soon what is causing it. @martaindale I feel you on the humidity! I didn't look at it before I ran this morning, but it had to be 90+% because it stormed overnight. 73 degrees doesn't feel so great when it is a warm wall of water.…

@Teresa502 Sounds like you had a great vacation. I love your pictures! @polskagirl01 I'm glad you were able to get in a longer run. I would have jumped if a deer had jumped out in front of me! Today's run called for a recovery run after yesterday's speedwork. I did 2.5 miles in Z1. Tomorrow calls for 12 miles. August…

So, I came on here and posted earlier this week, but my post seems to be MIA... I'm not sure where I got my 95 miles run thus far in the month in last weekend's post. I must have been delirious after my 20 miler because that wasn't accurate! :D At that point it was 71.5 miles. Since then I have a tempo run, a Z1 recovery…

I have been so swamped with work this week, so I have been reading but haven't posted or commented in several days. In fact, I've been working again today and will get back to it in a few minutes, but I wanted to share that I ran 20 miles today and it sucked much less than last week's 18! I ended up splitting it into two…

@tarun_yadavA Nice view! Thanks about my friend - he is doing a little better. Still in ICU, but off the ventilator. @shanaber I really like your friend's post. @Mari33a Glad you are feeling a little better after the Covid. Good job on your run, @quilteryoyo! I am liking Fitzgerald's plan so far. I hope that I'll see some…

Welcome @cmcrae0217! @quilteryoyo I'm glad you were able to figure out a plan. Adding that build up at the start is a great idea. @eleanorhawkins Sorry your hubby isn't being supportive. I'm glad they were able to put out all of the fires near you. I know that has been really stressful. @shanaber Sorry you haven't been…

Today's 18 miler was long and crappy ("clappy?", "crong?"- I don't think we have a word yet for it). I was so over it at mile 5 - just not feeling a run at all today. However, I did get in all 18 miles, even though I walked the last 1.5. I don't care how early you get up here, it is always going to be hot and humid here. I…

I missed my run on Thursday after I found out a close friend (age 41) had a stroke and emergency heart surgery. The doctors were not expecting him to make it through the surgery, so I was waiting for news. I did get out yesterday morning and did my interval run: 5 min Z1, 5 min Z2, 10x (1 min Z5, 2 min Z1), 5 min Z1 - for…

@kgirlhart I’m sorry about all of the recent stress. I hope your mom and sister aren’t affected too much by the COVID and that your mom can recuperate at your sister’s home. @quilteryoyo Happy Belated Birthday! I’m sorry your run was so tough. I love your pictures. You’re doing great with your training @eleanorhawkins!…

@kgirlhart They are so cute!

Plan called for a recovery run in Z1. 2.58 miles. July total: 10.46 miles
-
It looks like his 10K level 2 plan has a 9 mile and 10 mile run in the long runs, so I think you could probably use that plan to train for your 10 mile race.
-
Today’s plan called for a “cruise interval” - 5 min Z1, 5 min Z2, 4x (5 min Z3, 3 min Z1), 5 min Z2, 5 min Z1. I decided to get out before work so it would be a little cooler at 73 degrees. For all of the Z1, except in the beginning, I had to walk to get my HR low enough. I ended up with 4.31 miles. July total: 7.88 miles

Welcome @Jane10s!

@martaindale and @Scott6255 Yes to the feeling overwhelmed about marathon plans! I have 8 weeks left and looked at my plan this weekend and freaked out a little bit. @polskagirl01 I love that race shirt! I hope you are able to figure out what is causing you to feel so tired. Today’s plan called for a 45 min foundation run:…

@Teresa502 Nice shoes! @katharmonic I don't wear hats on all runs, but I usually will on a longer run because I find it will wick most of the sweat away instead of it pouring down my face. And ouch! at falling before the start of Wineglass half. That is awesome that you were able to PR despite that. Tell you friend I said…

Today's long run was a cutback of 10 miles. It was overcast and foggy when I started, low 70s temps, and by the time I finished, it was sunny with a slight breeze. I felt really good for the entire run. I ended up running it 12 minutes faster than when I ran 10 miles on the same route five weeks ago, all while staying in…

I'm going to shoot for 130 miles for August since I'm right in the middle of marathon long runs.

This morning I went to the gym for my RIPPED class and then came home to run both last night's run and today's run. Yesterday should have been hill repeats, and today was a recovery run, so total I ran 4.6 miles. I bought my marathon shoes today. Dick's Sporting Goods was having a sale, and I had a coupon, so I got Brooks…

@eleanorhawkins I hate to hear that the fires are still going. I hope they are able to contain them soon. I know that must be scary having to worry if they will be close to you. @quilteryoyo Great job with your runs! I hope you enjoyed your day at the festival. @Mau_Hutch Enjoy your island getaway! @martaindale I think an…

I ran my 16 mile long run today, but it was slow and hot. I was soaking wet by the time I finished. Looking at my pace, it just got slower and slower and slower as the temps rose. But I got it done! I purposefully ran in a flatter part of my neighborhood, doing a 2.2 mile loop, instead of the 7 mile loop I ran last week,…
-
@katharmonic I bet the popsicle was nice in the middle of the run! Great job as always, @alphahowls! @martaindale Love your pics! @quilteryoyo Good job with your runs! I think you'll knock that 10K out! The FB group is MFP Monthly Running Challenge.

I ended up doing two miles on the track this morning, alternating between running a lap and walking a lap, followed by my hour Pump class. My ankles didn't swell this morning, so I am thinking that a particular meal I had Thursday night (and then leftovers for lunch yesterday) may have been the culprit with more sodium…

She posts occasionally on the Facebook group page. She posted last week about @MobyCarp. :'(

@teresa502 Great job on the Crazy 8’s! @RunsonEspresso Be careful with that heat and humidity! @7lenny7 Lots of great running! I’m sorry to hear about Kody. It is tough when dogs get older. Our dog Duke was in a similar situation his last year or so. It was hard to watch. @kgirlhart I’m sorry to hear about your mom’s fall.…

@eleanorhawkins I'm so sorry to hear about the fires. I hope they are able to put them out quickly before much more burns. You are awesome with all of the runs/hikes you have done! This morning's run was my 14 mile long run. I signed up for a virtual half last fall and then never did it (I've done live halfs but didn't…
