Great job, @kgirlhart, on beating Peggy!

It has been raining and gross here for several days, but last night I went out for a run when I got home before it got too dark. It was soooo foggy though. The training run was only 20 minutes at half marathon goal pace, but it was warm and humid, so I looked like I had taken a shower when I finished. Today, I went to my…

Beautiful pictures, @shanaber! I’m sorry to hear about your back, @quilteryoyo. I hope it continues to ease off.

Tonight’s run was 20 min at 11:13-12:13 min/mile. I ended up with 1.66 miles. I wasn’t really feeling it tonight, so I hope I have more motivation tomorrow. I was visiting friends a couple of weeks ago, and this raccoon came right up onto the deck where we were sitting and starting munching on their dog’s food. She wasn’t…

It is too bad that we can’t count really intense running dreams as exercise! 🤣 Dreams can sometimes leave you feel exhausted when you wake. @martaindale I’m curious to know how the leaf moat worked as well! Also, very pretty pictures. I’m not scheduled to run again until tomorrow, but depending on the weather tonight, I…

Happy birthday @shanaber and @Scott6255 !! I do think the forum has changed over the last couple of years, but not in a bad way. We lost some really good people, and I’ve been thinking about them a lot lately for some reason. I think everyone here has good advice based on personal experiences, and I definitely have learned…

@quilteryoyo Glad you got your computer back! I hope you can recover your files. @SummerSkier Nice music choices! @katharmonic Great job on today’s run! I ran our local Reindeer Run 5K this morning to benefit the children’s hospital. This followed part of the route I ran a few weeks ago at the homecoming 5K. It was in the…

I worked from home today because I had a repairman coming, so I was able to pick up my race packet this morning (I’m always so happy to get a card for free Chick-fil-a in my swag bag!), and I got in a nice afternoon run, even though it was 77 out. It isn’t supposed to be this warm in December! My new Brooks jacket came…

Tonight's training run called for 30 minutes at 11:13-12:13 pace. I ran on the treadmill at the gym. The weather this weekend is supposed to be warmer, so I'm looking forward to some nice outside runs and pleasant temps for Saturday's 5K. November Miles: 2.83

I did not get in my planned run last night after getting stuck in Atlanta traffic and getting home way later than planned. I plan to make it up tonight. I DID sign up yesterday morning for the 2022 Wineglass Marathon! I’m so excited to run it again, and my best friend has decided to run it as well. Regarding running…

@rheddmobile, not giving you an appointment until the end of December is ridiculous! I hope someone sees you at the other hospital tomorrow and can give you the tests you need. @AlphaHowls I don’t know how you do it! I’m constantly amazed. I wasn’t scheduled to run today, but I did a mile on the treadmill before my Pump…

My goal is to complete my assigned training runs. Since I can only see a week in advance, I have no idea how many miles it will be.

I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving! Today was my first run of the week. I had a sinus infection, and the combo of a low grade fever and my meds just knocked me out for most of the week. Today’s training run was a progression run with 20 min at an 11:13-11:43 pace, and 10 min at 9:13-9:43 pace. Total miles: 41.3 I…

@rheddmobile I am so sorry to hear you aren’t feeling well and that the ER visit went so poorly! I’ve had awful ER visits in the past as well, and they are infuriating.
-
@quilteryoyo I’m sorry about your back issues. I hope you feel better soon. @polskagirl01 Oh no! I hope you were able to pass the kidney stone and are feeling better!

Today’s training run called for 1:15:00 at 11:13-12:13 pace. My average pace was 11:20. With warmup and cooldown, I ran 7.15 miles. It was a nice day again at the park. A friend told me today that she is considering running Wineglass with me next year. Registration opens soon, so I will go ahead and sign up quickly to get…

My goals for 2022 are to improve my half and full marathon times. I have a half in January, but I plan to run the Wineglass full next October.

I just had a memory pop up on my Facebook that said I ran my first race, a 5K, 11 years ago today. 😁

I’ve been so busy this week that I haven’t logged in here, so many pages to catch up! I’ve completed 3 short training runs this week. The first was a 20 min run at 11:23-12:13 pace. The second was a goal pace run. Today was stride repeats. Tomorrow’s long run should be 6-7 miles. Miles for November: 31.36

@katharmonic, Hope your half marathon went well today! Today's training run was 60 minutes at 11:13-12:13 pace. It is such a pretty day with no clouds in the sky, so I decided to go run at the park by the river. There were a ton of people out. It was in the mid 40s when I started. With warmup and cool down, I ran 5.67…

This morning I ran my alma mater's Homecoming 5K. Age group awards were only for top 3 under 40 and over 40, so my goal was just to run it in under 30 minutes. I finished in 29:57, so while not my best 5K, I met today's goal. I actually finished in the top 1/3 of females under 40, so I was pleased with that. My training…

I’m glad I’m not the only one who hates the new forum format! Last night’s run was 6x (1 min at 9:03-9:23, 1 min recovery) and 6x (30s at 8:03-8:23, 1 min recovery). I ran on the indoor track at the gym. My Garmin has acted so funky the last few days and tracked my repeats all close to 11:00 pace, which they definitely…

Great job on your HM @martaindale ! @katharmonic Congrats on completing all of the peaks! Tonight’s training run again called for 20 min at 11:13-12:13 pace. I ran on the treadmill, and my Garmin acted really strange and tried to tell me I had a pace of 8:23, when in reality it was really closer to about 10:50. 🤷🏻♀️With…

Great job @sweetdaisy13!

Today’s run called for 50 minutes at 11:13-12:13 pace. I ended up a little fast with an average of 11:06. It was in the 40s when I started but quickly warmed, and I ended up shedding my long sleeved layer halfway through. With an added warmup and cooldown, I completed 5.08 miles. Training runs: 4/16 Total miles for month:…

Awesome job @kgirlhart!!!

Today’s run called for stride repeats of 8x 20s at 150-200spm and 45s recovery. My cadence for all 8 repeats were between 175-180, so I was pleased. With warmup and cooldown, I completed 2.43 miles. Training runs: 3/16 Total miles for month: 7.13

@katharmonic Happy belated birthday! Hope you had a great day! @kgirlhart, @martaindale, @sweetdaisy13 Good luck on all of your races! You are all going to rock it!
-
@shanaber Great pictures! @polskagirl01 Congrats on your 3 year streak! You’re awesome! @Tramboman Hope you feel better soon from your booster. Since I have an all day online training, I am working from home today. I decided to go out for my run this morning. It was about 48 degrees. My training run again called for 20…

@martaindale and @polskagirl01 Sorry to hear about your falls, but glad you are both ok! @polskagirl01, your pictures are so pretty! I think the oldest race shirt I have is from the 2012 Rock n Roll Savannah (which came up on my memories as 9 years ago today, actually). My friend and I ran it without really knowing how to…
