Oh, I've seen your handiwork before. I remember you quite well from when I used to lurk the forums. You're the one who usually starts whinging about how people discourage "healthy eating". And how the moderation crowd is afraid that "someone will try to take their donuts away". I'm tickled that you're insulted, since I…

But if we don't argue about minutiae, people can't sit there and feel superior about themselves. They can't pat themselves on the back for not eating "junk" food without passive-aggressively saying nonsense like "not all foods are equal" and then talking out the other side of their mouth with "I don't think anyone needs to…

It isn't obvious? It's the same person EVERY SINGLE TIME one of these threads comes around.
-
There's always that ONE person who purposely doesn't get it because it suits them. That person conveniently shows up to make ridiculous comments about how "eating healthy is being discouraged". Don't be purposely daft. You know very well that no one here has ever said that eating healthy is a bad idea. Your act is tired.

You probably shouldn't eat while you're sleeping. That said, some people have issues with eating before bedtime or in the hours preceding it. It's a highly individual thing. That whole thing about not eating after a certain time is bunk.

It's really grimy to eat your roommate's food. Seriously, that's really tacky. Be an adult and either eat some cheesecake or don't. This isn't rocket science. Drink water, chew gum, knit a sweater, learn to tap dance. There are a myriad ways to deal with this situation.

You don't need to lose weight. The fact that you mentioned that you didn't want anyone to tell you that is a pretty good indication that you know it to be true. Color me "unhelpful" I suppose, because I'm not sorry and I won't validate you. Oh, and carbs don't make you gain weight. Excessive calorie intake does.

I eat sweets in moderation because I want to and can. If people offer me sweets at work that I don't want, I politely decline and thank them for the pleasant offer. It's seriously that simple. If you "can't" (read: won't) eat sweets in moderation, then cut them entirely. It's your prerogative, and what works for other…

Eating more calories one day a week doesn't "kick start" your metabolism or anything else.
-
If you didn't give a toss, you wouldn't be typing in caps. You also wouldn't be replying, being "mad", accusing moderators of calling people idiots or spouting off about how everyone here is a great big bully because they don't agree with others. Quit lying to yourself and everyone else. You most assuredly care, and it's…

No. I eat whatever I please so long as it fits into my calorie allotment.
-
No. If I'm going to waste my time and money, it'll be on something fun.
-
So juicing is akin to weighing food, which you find "burdensome and excessive"... But you recommend juicing because it helped you lose weight. If both are "burdensome and excessive", why not actually try weighing your food and see if it works instead of just proclaiming that juicing is the way? Or is that not a fun way to…

I eat what I want in appropriate (for my calorie goal) qualities, so there's no need for me to assign the "cheat" value to food or a meal.

I quit just over 2 years ago. What has helped me stay away from it is chewing gum, drinking water, cutting back on alcohol (I was a major social smoker), broke up with my ex who smokes like a chimney and finding things to occupy my time. Full disclosure: when I quit smoking, my eating got way out of control and I put on…

I'm 32, 250 pounds and I just started a 5K training program. I did my first actual set of intervals on Tuesday evening with my Sasquatch in tow to keep time and make sure I didn't keel over. It was tough towards the end, but the feeling of accomplishment was unbelievable. This can be done. :)

Whenever I run out of calories, stop being hungry or need to sleep.
-
I'm too busy feeling smugly satisfied to tell you that I told you so. But in seriousness... You know, people don't try to dissuade others from doing stuff like this to "hate on" or "sabotage" them. People try to steer others away from fads and such because they either already wasted the time/money on it only for it to…

Off to a rollicking start down the road to inanity.

Hey, jorts worked out perfectly fine for Stone Cold Steve Austin.
-
No. I don't waste my money on snake oil. I like my wallet nice and fat.

This is a question better suited for your doctor.
-
No. Mr. Colossus has to insist that I eat. Left to my own devices, I'd just drink tea and vegetable broth until I was done being ill.
-
Ignore the juice "cleanse" and "detox" claptrap. Unless your liver has revolted, you should be fine in that respect.
-
Yes, because all processed food is the devil. Frozen vegetables and fruit? Lead to weight gain. God, I just rolled my eyes so hard it was like my brain was playing marbles.

I wouldn't even call that bashing. I'd call it questioning. It's not like you're saying the OP's doctor is akin to a genocidal maniac or anything. That would be a personal attack, which most assuredly would be bashing. You are indeed correct though: doctors aren't beyond reproach and need to be reminded of that. Anyway,…

Every Monday morning after I wake up, before breakfast, after a trip to the WC.
-
There's no "bashing" happening here. Don't try to stir up drama where there is none. People are pointing out flaws in the OP's thought process/numbers, not insulting him as a person. That would be bashing.

"Chemical ****storms". That's the name of my new band. Thanks for that. You need to make as certain as possible that you're eating the portions of food you think you are. That means you need to weigh and measure things correctly, followed by logging them truthfully. Ditch the "carb blockers". They only block you from…
