Thanks for explaining the 8 workouts thing. I didn't get it either. The charts were confusing without knowing what the data labels were trying to say.

I did, but I'm just starting so I can't tell you the results yet. What I can tell you is that I've worked hard to get off what I have thus far but if I gain some back and it isn't producing the results I want, I can always go back to what I was doing and work it off from there. It isn't the end of the world. But then, I…

I'm lucky enough to experience moving abroad. Recently my medical clearance for diving was denied. This shows that there are plenty of other ways to still explore. Among many other activities this summer, I plan to go kyaking for the first time. I want to try parasailing, another chance at deep sea fishing and whatever…

How did it go?

I'm following the New Rules of Lifting for Women. I had my first workout last Saturday. I was sweating buckets but I didn't feel sore. The book doesn't tell you where to start with weights because it is different for everyone. So I made notes to increase weights on certain exercises for the next time. That was workout A.…

I double heart chocolate. It is my vice. BUT... I.would.not.touch.dark.chocolate. until.. I discovered Hershey's Bliss Dark Chocolate. It is 70%. Now I eat it most nights. Now that I've gotten used to the flavor, I might try going up a bit. I like Lindt chocolates usually more than Girdella so I think I will start there.…

Look at the dead lift exercise. See what you might need for that.

I had a watch only version first before I did my research. It was wildly inaccurate and frankly more annoying anyway because you have to completely slow down and hold the button down for a bit to get a reading. I tried to hold it down after every lap and it was still very inaccurate--like double what it should be. I keep…

What if you did it gradually? Try putting in a custom calorie level for 100 more. Then 200. Keep going until you get to maintence level. This way it doesn't FEEL like you are making any dramatic changes. It is relatively the same level you are already doing.

Wow! Seriously amazing dedication!

If you don't mind the stares, you could do jumping jacks, walking lunges, and squats. There might be a private corner somewhere. I vote for walking though.

I'm in the bite it, write it crowd. Plus, I would WANT to see how much good stuff I'm fiting in. But don't be fooled. Some can be high. They are still GOOD for you but they do add up. I agreed with the post about not mixing up different programs. 1 Eggplant 132 cal. 1 Banana 90 cal. 1 Avocado 250 cal. 1 Artichoke 120 cal.…

Well done!! Clap-clap!

Setting it up or using it isn't hard but there is a little bit of a learning curve in understanding how the data is used and works together. Reading the fitbit group threads on MFP is helpful.

Whoohoo thank you!!! I also see now I have an extra bracket in there. It doesn't show the whole car but I'm good with that. See the handle on the trunk? I also love love love that this is the way you open it instead of the traditional open upwards. I love my car. I wouldn't mind a hybrid car either but not where I…

My reasons are reversed. I woke up one morning and I was eating Pringles and chocolate for breakfast. I literally threw out the chips I had already taken out of the can to eat and immediately downloaded an app. Now that I see all the talk about skinny fit with pictures to go with it, I realized that previously I had always…

Trying again. Not my car but looks exactly like it. I love my orange cube! [\img]]http://i773.photobucket.com/albums/yy17/thorstensimp/S8300323.jpg[\img] I give up. I added the slash in the code. I tried both the forward and the backwards one. Oh well. Orange cube! Think longhorn orange. I graduated from there so it is…

Not my car but same color and car. Orange Cube!

1. There are standard services (free) and premium services (cost). I have the standard and love it. 2. Some exercises may not be as accurate with a fitbit. For those, I would use an HRM. But an HRM isn't going to be able to be used all day long like a fitbit. I consider them complimentary. If most of your exercise is…

My car is in the shop this week but now that I have the workout schedule clarified, I plan to start next week. I can't wait! I want to use their calorie goal portion and I am still trying to up my protein. I currently eat back my exercise calories with both fitbit info and my HRM. I am already eating a decent amount of…

It says you can deduct up to 300 from maintenance if needed. Perhaps that is where the difference is.

100 jumping jacks!

Verp, I really like your first two because it speaks to the fact that self-loathing is often counter-productive.
