I don't plan to be here forever. I am using it as a teaching tool. Having said that, I will log in periodically to check myself and make sure I'm still on task. I've done this before. I was successfully in maintainence for 4 years. I know I can do it. I quit my job and forgot to pay attention to the fact that my energy…

This is me but I absolutely can't do the alternating jumping ones. That is hell on balance. I still use furniture to steady myself on regular lunges.

If you use the stopwatch feature and want to replace it with HRM data, go to fitbit, find your activity record. Look at the start and end times. Go to MFP and record the exercise. When MFP asks you for the time, you now know it. If you are not trying to replace it, you can name that activity record on fitbit. Your steps…

I lost 60lbs in a little over a year and maintained it for 4 years. When I quit work, my activity level immediately and dramatically changed and I didn't take that into account. I gained 12lbs in a month! It was so fast, I didn't have time to blink. Then I was moving to another country. Honestly, I allowed myself to go on…

My advice is to take pictures too. Some of those areas that escape the measuring tape, show up on the pictures. But measuring tape is good too because for example, my problem area is my butt and I don't see it accurately like my friends do even with the pictures but boy do I see other areas well that I am less critical of.…

True! Love it!

Get it. Be excited about it. You have to buy into it. Let it treat you right. Here's another story... One day I went to the zoo with my kids and because it is a very hilly zoo, it counted lots of "floors." I wanted to finish up my 50 stair badge that day. I normally don't focus on high stair badges. I focus on step badges…

I was hoping for more suggestions. I'm at the end of the 30 Day Shred and it is still the one exercise I can't do comfortably. I can squat low and all day long but the lunges kill me.

I do Zumba and it stays on fine. I'm living abroad so I don't have first hand knowledge of seeing it in stores but I've seen people mention that in forum threads. I think it was Best Buy. You might do a search and see if you can come across that. It MIGHT have also been Target. Best Buy sticks out in my head more. In…

My goal is to lift the saddlebags and put them behind me.

Bump. I want to know too.
-
No. You have to go to tools on MFP and sync them together.

I need this thread so I will contribute. I buy the precooked chicken (looks like fajita strips) and add sides. Examples: Pumpkin Seeds Fruit Yogurt String Cheese Goldfish Crackers and Laughing Cow Cheese See...I need ideas too.

Yep me too.

The registrar's office had the wrong room number written for my husband's enrolled college class. By the time be figured it out, he stuck out the rest of the class in effort not to be rude to the teacher or perhaps embarrassing. So he was only in my class one day. I was super friendly so he asked me out. I was friendly…

I log my weight almost everyday. I like seeing the graph. I only pay attention to the valleys. These are the losses. The rest are just fluctuations. That's normal. As long as I'm seeing a valley every so often, I know I'm on track. Now thanks to someone else on here, I've gotten used to looking at night too and now I'm…

Even better, my car is a burnt orange. Believe it or not, because of the size, it can blend in well with cars closer up but put it far where there are no cars, it simply doesn't matter if I parked on the same side of the parking lot each time or not. I can find it. I've decided I want a colored car from now on. A BRIGHT…

We did! On our side of the world there was lots of cloud cover. Even I hadn't bought the glasses, I could look at it most of the time for that reason. Neat. I have a picture but not a picture site to load it from. Sorry.

I park closer to the end of the parking lot because... I get more steps in. I don't have the stress of hunting for a space. And... Mostly because it is easier to find my car when I come out. There are less cars around it. :)

I had a week like that recently. It was my birthday week and Mother's Day. Then to top it off, some friends were having a going away party the same week (moving). I went out to eat most of the days for a solid week and some days twice! Most of those dates I wasn't paying. I had multiple birthday celebrations. Again, put…

Only 3? Wow. We have 15-40 per class. Small class but I bet you had fun! It is a great burn!

By the way, when I stopped through there, I could NOT pass up the chance for LA gumbo! So I know what you mean by GOOOD food. Just figure out what your priorities are and do the best you can with the rest.

Take away half the food to take home. Ask for a nutrition menu. Try to make as many reasonable choices as you can. Log it anyway. Go ahead and have it if it is really your favorite, but don't do that at every single meal or even every day. Exercise! You can take some time to do this. That way you can burn some of what you…

The Zumba classes I go to could potentially be hard on your knees, and in my case, my feet BUT people modify those moves constantly. I keep the jumping to a minimum. If I can do the same move without it, I do. It is also important to know the proper form for squats.
-
It is amazing how so many people can be in the same room, make a lot of mistakes, laugh about it and call it fun but it truly is! Everyone has their own beat, modifications and style. Just move and have fun! I'm so glad you went too! Way to go stepping out of your comfort zone. I bet this becomes your new addiction. I do…

This made me laugh. Let me tell you about my first day. I suddenly decided one day I was going to the gym. I had no idea what Zumba was but the class was about to start. I joined. I was very unprepared! I am deaf and I am so used to being front and center for lipreading growing up that I never considered any other place in…

Since you are close to goal, I would tell it you want to lose 0.5lbs a week.

Nobody gets all the moves at first. You would be surprised at how often people modify moves even after they has been going awhile. Often instructors will change it up a bit to keep it challenging. That means even veterans won't always get every move right. After a few classes, you will start to pick out common moves and it…
