Are you eating the fruit alone, or with your meals? I seem to have much better luck controlling the spike if i have the fruit with some fat and protein.

Monday morning, after showering, in underclothes. I have found that given pretty consistent diet from day to day, my weight still fluctuates within a 3-4 pound range over about a 3 day cycle, so it's much less depressing for me to just see longer term.

Not questioning your reasoning. You're absolutely right to take your stand against artificial whatevers. For me, there's so much "artificial" in my life that an ounce or 2 of mio a week is nothing. As to the original question, there's nothing in mio that makes the water you put it in no longer water.
