My exercise calories from fitbit haven't been syncing to the app for the past few days either.

Thank you everyone, that makes me feel better. Ended up going to the gym today and getting a good chest pump in today!

What?

I have been mixing it with a little bit of cottage cheese and sriracha hot sauce, then either putting it on toast or just eating it straight up. It's delicious!

30-year anniversary party at the office today. I said NO to that vanilla/chocolate swirl cake with buttercream frosting.... :|

I run 30-35 miles a week generally. It's my stress relief. And I saw my GYN last year, they gave me a progesterone pill that didn't bring back my period and also an ultrasound to check my uterus lining which was also fine. They said I just exercise a lot. My main concern is that was only after roughly one year of not…

I'm 22 years old. I'm doubtful that it's early menopause. I work out 6 times a week. I eat very healthy - lots of fruits and veggies, lean meat (chicken, pork, turkey), eggs, greek yogurt.

Breakfast was a blackberry pie greek yogurt with some fresh blackberries, and coffee to drink. Lunch was a turkey sandwich and an apple. Pre-workout snack will be a protein bar (special K) Dinner will be pan-searched chicken and a salad, with a serving of cottage cheese. I'll most likely need something after dinner since I…

Work. Gym. Netflix. :p

I find that using the TDEE method is easier to stick to. That way, you don't have to account for how many calories you lost during exercise for that day. It allows you to eat what you want as long as you are within your calories, and you're always aiming for the same total per day. Easy!

You could always try doing squats on the smith machine. Or do rack squats.

I confess that sometimes, I eat peanut butter with a spoon.
-
A little out of my age group. Nice looking though!

For lent I am giving up peanut butter

Typically six days a week. I normally lift 3-4 days a week, alternating full cardio and lift days as follows: Monday: Medium/longer run: 5-8 miles Tuesday: Short run (2-3 miles) plus shoulders and chest. Wednesday: Medium run (3-4 miles) and maybe some sprints or a short period on the bike. Thursday: Short run (2-3 miles)…

Nice! Keep it up!

I like to put tuna on my salads. You could also try some tofu, beans, or hard boiled eggs for some extra protein

That happens to me sometimes, too. I eat clean normally, so if I have something processed or sweet (no matter how much or how little) my stomach ends up hurting really bad. Does it go away after some time or a glass or water?

There's no "best" time to eat your meals. Eat when you feel like your body needs it. For me, I find that a small snack after work before my workout (usually a protein bar) gives me enough energy for my workout, and I eat my main meal around 7pm when I get home. It's all a matter of personal preference. You should, however,…

There are plenty of "healthy" versions of all of your favorite sweets online. However, I find that for me, a glass of water and brushing my teeth generally helps subside (at least partially) my cravings.

Costco when they put them on sale. You get like 75 cups for 27 dollars.

The DOMS you are experiencing will be maximized when you are first starting out. As you continue working out, they will not be far as bad. I actually get happy now when I feel sore the next morning after a workout. As for your body hurting and having to miss a day, just work an opposite muscle group the next day. That's…

Greek yogurt is about the quickest breakfast you could ask for. That or a couple of hard boiled eggs

Foods that are rich in potassium help to reduce water weight - bananas, cantaloupe. You can also fill up on foods that have a lot of fiber in them - oatmeal, whole grain sprouted breads, leafy greens, lentils. I've found from personal experience that lots of water, asparagus, cucumbers and bananas seem to help me the most.

It's probably due to the boredom aspect of running on the treadmill. When you run outside, you have changing scenery and varying terrain. It's actually said to be "harder" to run outside, having changing weather conditions (you always seem to run against the wind) and hills, etc. You're also self-propelling yourself when…

I struggle with occasional nightly binges too. It's nothing huge - just a few hundred calories - but I know that they add up in weekly/montly totals. If you find yourself under your allotted calorie goal, there is absolutely nothing wrong with treating yourself. It's all about self control. If you want your treats - take…
