Do you have a ymca in your area? They're fairly inexpensive to join and they offer childcare as well as various exercise activities for you. Most have weight rooms, coordinated classes like Zumba, yoga, and even karate and tai chi classes. Heck even swimming is great exercise and every YMCA I know of has a pool.

My family does this all the time..... "Come out to dinner with us", "don't diet on the weekends", "it's only one meal".... It's annoying when it's constantly happening. It's hard to not get derailed when your always hearing that you shouldn't be dieting. I started eating before going to family get togethers and that way I…

Walking and Zumba has worked for me and when you zumba you don't feel like your working out! You can do both in the privacy of your home, which is the only reason I do either.... If I have to leave I'm not doing it.

Right now it's about $400 for me and the hubby. He hunts so we don't purchase any red meat or pork only chicken. I live in Amish country in PA and I shop at a lot of farmers markets and mom & pop shops. That makes things a little more expensive but the quality is unbelievable!

If we're planning on going out to eat, I work out harder and…

Currently I'm doing this to lose weight but once I hit my goal I will not be done. This is a lifestyle change and the weight loss is necessary in my case to improve quality of life and my health. Logging everyday just keeps me in check and let's me know how well or bad I did that day. Every pound lost is an accomplishment…

Being told that my weight was probably the reason I couldn't have children.

I started Zumba every now and then as fun at 214 lbs. I've lost weight since then and still feel like I look a big goofball doing it and I do it 2-3 times a week now as regular exercise. I do it in the privacy of my home and feel as long as you keep on moving ( i salsa if I can't get my body to do a move they are doing)…

I'm in very similar situation to you. I have had my weight go up and down since I was a teenager and since getting married it unfortunately has just gone up and up and up some more. I know people say exercising and dieting with a buddy is the best way to do it but for me personally I would never want anyone to know my true…
