  • Yes because you didn't read this http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/23912-links-in-mfp-you-want-to-read-again-and-again http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/10665-newbies-please-read-me-2nd-edition I don't know what your actual calorie requirement and intake is but it seems to me that your body is in starvation…
  • Read about High Intensity Interval Training. That is very good for burning fat. But i don't think one can use the elliptical trainer for that though staircase may work. The idea is to deplete the glycogen stores by working at your highest intesity at intervals so that fat is burned to replenish the depleted stores.
  • Well since you are aware of the ill effects, you are making an informed decision. You can't say you didn't know about them. It is a personal decision. I would suggest taking an extra multi vitamin if you are drinking in excess of 2 a day. I personally aam not a fan of arguments which go like 'since i am not having that,…
  • It depends upon your BMR. How many calories are you eating a day??? ANd you have to eat a majority of your exercise calories.
  • Eat small, frequent and 'balanced' meals. e.g. 6 meals of 250 to meet a requirement of 1500 calories. Exercise for atleast 30 mins/day. Drink plenty of water.
  • BudWeiser Select 55 A pint of bear has 55 calories, so 3-4 will give you around 200 cal which is not much and easy to manage.
  • Once a week is fine. Also take your neck, waist and hip measurements and keep a weekly record of the same as well. In case you are not losing weight but the measurements are coming down, you are doing fine.
  • Somebody searched for chocolates on amazon or ebay. :)
  • If one follows the same routine for a long time, the body adapts to it and hence one doesn't see significant changes. Its time for change now. Change your workout. Try different food still maintaining the calorie count. You are already seeking motivation, so that's good.
  • Please read this before you start. These are sticky topics on the the message boards and are there all the time for newbies to read. • Just go to 'Tools' on myfitnesspal page. Select BMR calculator. Put your Height as 5 Feet 1.75 Inches and you will get the correct value of your BMR. Problem Solved.
  • Try to put 5 Feet 1.75 Inches. I am pretty sure i put mine as 5 Feet and 11.5 Inches.
  • Dry Fruits - Almonds, Cashews, Apricot etc. They are healthy and energy dense i.e. a small amount will provide enough calories. Banana though it is a bit high in sugar content. Flax Seed. These are what i normally use.
  • Medicines for bipolar usually make you put on weight. They slow down your metabolism. You can try small frequent meals, maybe 6 times a day if you are not doing that already. But if you decide to take any supplement, do consult your doctor first.
  • Push Ups, Pull Ups and Crunches are the best. Natural and work most of your muscles in the body.
  • ASICS Women's GT 2150 I have been doing a lot of research on this lately. And this is the best reviewed as well as best selling product on most online sites including Amazon. They have just launched GT 2160, so one can get a great deal on GT 2150. I ordered a Men's pair and got 35% off. If you don't mind spending more, go…
  • Sugars which have high Glycemic Index cause the blood sugars to rise quickly and cause release of insulin which causes the body to stores most of it. So choose wisely.
  • One has to check the glycemic index of sugars. Sugars which have low glycemic index increase the blood sugar levels very slowly. So they are NOT that bad. One can have as 2-3 servings of fruit a day. Have some green vegetables too to balance it out with fibre. I would avoid grapes though.
  • Staying in Orlando.
  • Vitamin C is a water-soluble vitamin. It will get washed away in urine. So its alright if your pee is bit yellowish today. Be careful about Vitamin A, D, E and K. Its OK if you exceed Vitamin B and C.

  • That's about right but don't follow one particular pattern when you do HIIT as the body adapts to it and therefore over time the 'effect' is not the same. If you can get your heart rate to about 90-95% of your maximum, you are doing fine.

  • Nope. Drink as much as you can unless you have a medical problem.
  • I do too. But almost all the experts that i have talked to have advised me to have as many fruits and vegetables as possible.
  • I can do it through my iphone. I select the offline mode whne i don't have internet access and when i do get access, i go to more and select sync. That does it. I am sure you can do the same thing from i pod.
  • I know this dietitian who told me that one should weigh themselves only once a week and on the same day every week with the same clothes on and on the same scale. And you should put the scale at one place and then just keep it there all the time and not take it out, weigh yourself and put it back as that alters one's…
