Umm yes it is. After having worked for years with orthopedics and physical therapists. I can tell you that running tears up your knees and ankles. There is plenty of other exercise available that provides the same benefits as running.

I came to the conclusion that I hate running too. I would much rather do a brisk walk (purely mental? lol) than run any time. I can find other things to do without the hatred of running that will get my heart rate up. Plus it's so hard on your joints.

This is so me. I have lost almost 20 lbs in two and a half months but lately my drive has gone down the drain. I have got to find a way to get back on the wagon. Feel free to add me as a friend and we can motivate each other. Good Luck!

The nutritional counselor that I see did not suggest any sort of medicine, herbal or otherwise. She suggested that I reduce my carb intake, eat more veggies ("American" vegetable are neither bland or boring, add some herbs and spices) and increase my activity. Withing two weeks of eating fresh, natural foods, I could tell…

Eating things with lots of fiber and protein have helped curb my appetite. I very rarely get hungry between meals. Try that and hope it helps! Good Luck. It will get easier.

Fortunately for me, my doctor is a self-proclaimed recovering food addict and has fully documented her weight loss journey. Having said that, she admitted that she didn't know everything about weight loss and everyone is different and responds differently to diets. She suggested a change in eating habits, modification,…

I work in an office where we have catered lunches and treats are brought in by various vendors all the time. I have had to learn how to say NO. I cannot and will not expect someone to stop eating something that they want just because I can't have it. Most of my co-workers know that I am trying to lose weight and they will…

Feel free to add me. I have about 50 more to go. Have lost 10 but still a journey ahead of me. :)

I have several but some of my biggest ones are: People that cannot use proper grammar when they speak...really, do you not know how dumb this makes you look? People that CANNOT make a decision...is it really that hard? Repetitive noises...tapping, clicking, a plastic bag under a fan (especially when I'm trying to sleep)…

Good Morning! I am 5'2", 36 (37 next week) and my goal weight is 130 lbs. Most BMI calculators say that I should be anywhere between 110-135 lbs. I am shooting for 130 right now and I will regroup when I get there.

I started low carb about a month ago due to high triglycerides and high fasting blood glucose. My doctor's group also includes a nutritionist. I have talked with the nutritionist and she recommended Yoplait Greek or Greek Light if I wanted yogurt. Hope this helps and good luck to you!

This may be a dumb question but, where can I find the shred that you all are using? I would like to join in. Thanks

Welcome!

The decrease in carbs is probably the cause. I just started a low carb diet myself two weeks ago and I was warned about that. Add about a 1/2 teaspoon of salt to your diet and that may help. Hope you feel better!
