  • Ooo TeeFury is new to me and pretty rad. Thanks.
  • From Wikipedia: "In healthy humans, CLA and the related conjugated linolenic acid (CLNA) isomers are bioconverted from linoleic acid and alpha-linolenic acid, respectively, mainly by Bifidobacterium bacteria strains inhabiting the gastrointestinal tract. However, this bioconversion may not occur at any significant level in…
  • Hitting your macro goals gives you assistance in eating a balanced diet, which your body needs. Depriving your body of needed protein or fats can have a detrimental effect not only on your body but on your mind. Depriving carbs will reduce your energy levels and also possibly slow all processes in your body unless you…
  • The biggest thing for me was changing my attitude towards food. Food = fuel. If you can think about it that way the junk foods will start to look less appealing. If you don't want to give up the junk, then getting outside for your breaks for a brisk walk will help out. Adding just more walking to your daily routine will…
  • That's a good way to put it.
  • I'd never guess that you've only lost 10 pounds, way to go!
  • Jack L Chalker(RIP) made some really great series: The Wonderland Gambit(some pieces were inspiration for The Matrix) The Well of Souls series The Quintara Marathon The Changewinds The River of the Gods Others I enjoy are: Neuromancer(William Gibson, not really a series but there are other books in the same universe) The…
  • I got this game for backing the new Torment game. I've enjoyed the little that I've played of it. Too many games to play, so little time.
  • This is quite the compilation. Thanks :)
  • I'm definitely excited for Dragon Age(still haven't bought it), Shadow of Mordor was quite nice too. I'm looking forward to Destiny and some of the Squadron 42 missions coming for Star Citizen. I'm sure I'll play a bunch of GTA V and Batman Knight when they hit PC too.
  • So couple of things: 1)To maintain muscle, increase your protein intake, decrease carbs not fat. 2)Focusing on ab work will do nothing to "tone" your stomach. Tone comes 100% from lowering your BF%. Your body will "tone" your stomach when it chooses to, targetting does nothing. 3)If you've lost 110lbs so far and you don't…
  • I found that as well. I just dump those friends who happily get my support but never like or comment on my successes. You can add me, I usually go into people's diary and see if I think i can help them with their eating habits as well. Recommending lower sodium(packaged food) meals to ensure they don't go over their daily…
  • Walking is what I did. Running would bring back a bad Patella injury so I walked. I'd walk for my work breaks, walk for my lunch, walk the dogs. I'd keep up a high pace. 4.0-4.5mph. I did do some biking and I'd jog when I felt like I could, however the two biggest things were my eating habits and walking. Now that I'm down…
  • I'm not a fan of the water/sauce in Cottage Cheese so I buy the dry curds. Same great protein, 0 sodium, 0% fat. I then add coconut milk or chocolate soy milk where I can control the added sodium/fat.
  • At 6'2, you may start to see a significant slow down around 14st 4. You've lost 22 pounds though in just over a month, which is quite significant and tells me that you've probably got very little muscle mass on your frame as the first bit is usually water weigh and some fat. Makes sure you are eating right and I'd suggest…
  • I personally use a high protein 40/25/35 myself(Pro/Carb/Fat) split. I do believe macros will help anyone to ensure they are getting the proper nutrition. I mean you could set your calorie goal at 1600 and then just have 1600 calories of fat and carb. You will still lose weight if that's lower than your TDEE(don't worry…
  • nutritionists(sorry to any out there) are not as well trained as dieticians. I definitely recommend seeing one. Being simple with your food intake will make things vastly easier. if you find even just 1 day's worth of food that works, eat that each and everyday. Variety is the spice of life they say, unless you have a food…
  • Did you stretch afterwards at all? You aren't doing heavy weights but if you are tight or not flexible and you do squats to parallel, you will definitely feel it and could potentially injure yourself. Hip flexibility is extremely important for squats as I'm sure you are aware.
  • What first worked for me was a switch in my thinking to food as fuel. As soon as I started believing that, everything changed. I no longer craved sweets because I knew my body didn't need it to stay fueled. Over time, I started to eat some enjoyable things(not that I wasn't enjoying what I had chosen as my meals, but I was…
  • I have a real problem with those photo's you've used to promote the product you are suggesting. The wrinkles in the shorts are the exact same in the two top and two bottom photos. This suggests photoshop work or that they were taken at the exact same time but with a very slight change in the persons upper body angle. It's…
  • It's hard to tell because of the inconsistencies with your diary. There is a lot of "Quick Add calories" which don't tell what you are eating(high sodium, etc). Maybe try to stay away from the processed foods if you can which usually contain a lot of sodium or choose lower sodium choices. How is your water/liquid intake?…
  • it was bad timing, i was responding to the cat joker pic ;)
  • that's a tough one...friendly(with a big question mark)
  • I think it's 1400 for men. It is silly. And don't worry about the low calories too much if you don't mind not being muscular. There are many studies that suggest low cal diets can potentially increase lifespan(shown in mice), however this definitely will come at the cost of muscle mass. I myself have a hard time eating…
  • Are you going to a gym or just doing this at home? If you are feeling shaky and exhausted after 15-20 minutes I would take it seriously and have someone take your resting heart rate, then your mid exercise heart rate and then again your rate after a 5 minute rest after your workout. I'd also see if you can take your blood…
  • I'd say that's not a weird reason at all. It's a great reason. There are a lot of characters that open up when you aren't nervous about how you will be perceived with some. I've got a friend of mine who essentially had the same reason. He wanted to get really big and strong vs just big so he could dress like some of his…
  • Make sure you are stretching your hip flexor's too. It took a few weeks to get my flexibility to a point where I could actually hit parallel with my hips. Before I was close, but wasn't going deep enough. If you don't get to parallel, your thighs will be doing most of the work.
  • Victoria BC here. Feel free to add me. I'm not super active though at times but I'm usually supportive and would be glad to lend a hand if asked.
  • It's just an automatic reply to eating under 1400-1500 calories. It doesn't look at your goal calories at all.
