Happy New Year! I am really trying to make an effort this year. Peri menopausal weight is just sticking to me. My gut health is horrible and drinking wine is out of control. I am on a journey to my 50th and feeling my best! Focusing on eating better. Moving more; even though my job is physical, I want to make an effort toβ¦

I have had alot of success of low carb/high protein diets. Especially South Beach. Sometimes it's important to add some in during the day for energy. I get very tired if i don't have them at all. But limiting them has always worked for me, especially around my core!

Vitamins. I take an Active pak by GNC ...and I take them in the afternoon. With 3 kids to run after I feel the same way by early evening and I still have to finish the night with them. So it helps to keep me going till after bedtime.

I don't count them...but if I'm hungry I'll eat. I try to keep it mostly protein.

Welcome! I'm somwhat new to MFP too. I did it a little while ago and fell off the wagon. I'm getting back on now though. I'm a fellow New Yawker too...born and raised. :) Oh yes the inhibitors! Gotta love them, but stay strong and focus on your goals. Good Luck and feel free to add me as a friend too!

Almost 37..eekk!!! Mom of 3, looking to lose 15 pounds. I got to my goal just before the summer and have packed on almost 10 pounds from the end of summer till now. I'm disappointed, but I'm trying to set a goal and work hard at it.

I think 8-10 pounds is ideal. I have a wedding soon too and hope my fitted dress FITS perfectly! Good Luck!

I can completely understand. I fell off the wagon being so busy with my kids over the summer...I have now gained back 10 pounds that took months to take off. Only took me about 9 weeks to put back on. :( No more excuses for me.. staying disciplined is my challenge with food and excersise.
