  • I eat some kind of choc treat everyday really unless i go for the greek yogurt. I do sugar free/low fat fudge bars and they are only 80cals so its easy to fit in. I also eat back half my cals back from exercise to be able to eat alittle more on exercise days unless I am not hungry.
  • you could always just start with walking but ya going back to things you are not used to any more sucks. I used to bench 425 when i was 20, Came back in to the gym 15 years later and having to do girly pushups just to be able to do more than 3 at a time.....ya it sucks
  • i check every time and find the ones on here that match up
  • Whatever is most enjoyable is the best answer. Maybe start with a regular gym to learn the basics of lifting and than move onto crossfit or use it for cardio days as a change in pace.
  • 1. I hate all the supplement adds that now pop up on my webpages. I eat food, not magical powders and pills. 2. I hate even though I lost around 40lbs since i started loosing weight I am still big enough (cw=291lbs) where people think they should suggest I could loose a few lbs or start going to a gym. Seriously?
  • I generally only eat half the exercise calories it says I burned.
  • You will soon find out after a month or so your work load per workout is gonna increase a lot. Once you get into the workout groove month after month you will be able to push yourself harder and you will need the rest more. For now just keep it light but slowly continue to do more and more. The main thing is to always try…
  • I stir fry chicken with green/red peppers and onions. some times a little jalepenos. I use every kind of Ms Dash seasonings and mix it up. Add cayenne here and there. Barbecue sauce and marinades. Ground chicken instead of chicken breasts. Turkey breast / ground turkey. Its about the same but still different. Add beef here…
  • Growing up we never got pop in our house other than once a week as a treat on pizza night. As soon as I had a job I would drink it nonstop. I would get a 2 liter every morning and it would be gone before lunch. They where cheaper than water. 99cents for a 2 liter or $1.50+ for a liter of water ( I still cant figure that…

  • I think there is genetics involved to a certain point. But I think its more of the learned behavior and lifestyle growing up which makes families be more over weight. Atleast that what i believe in my case.
  • I use Optimum: Gold Standard 100% Whey. But Real Food should be used first. I premake meals for the week and its as easy as making a shake just since all i have to do is microwave.
  • the things you are mentioning that you do not like that MFP doesnt account for is why you do not figure in that you are a couch potato though. you atleast go with somewhat active which most people are at the least. Than you add your actual exercise in after words and eat half of the total value of that. The calorie calc is…
  • Here is a beginner upper body and you can follow link to lower body. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jxEMEyu5KBk It should be decent for the first month and getting you used to some of the equipment than you can move on to alittle more enhanced beginner routine which he has aswell for a 3 day a week
  • My cheat days just sort of just happen whenever, but that is the best part of exercising several days a week and being able to eat some of those calories back. If i know I am going out saturday night I am most certainly doing something to make up the difference. Also I still track what i eat and try to still stay in my…
  • I am thinking singing telegram
  • I wish I could find the link but one of the reasons is your metabolism. Some people have always under ate and have a slowed metabolism and when you start to eat more( usually more often) you will gain weight at first and than once your metabolism speeds to what your normal should be you will start to loose weight. The body…
  • I stick to a eating routine during the work week and eat when not hungry. I eat at 6a 9a 11a 330p 6p 8p. I find that if i miss a snack meal or even a delayed time from normal meal I get extremely hungry. Especially breakfast.
  • You will be amazed about how much you can still eat at first. But still log and try to stay within your goal range. You will find out the healthier food is less calories so you can actually eat more. You can eat 7 tortita chips or 1lb of carrots for same calories. Just find out what you do like and try new things. A big…
  • I started off doing basic body weight exercises at home, push ups/ ab crunches/ no weight squats and lunges. Which was ok and alot tougher than I thought especially trying to get motivated. For me I joined a gym and only pay $10 a month. Which is alot less money than if I ever started to buy my own weights.
  • agreed. my wife takes the optiwoman and i take the optiman. instead of the 3 a day it says i just take 1 so i am only getting 1500X what i need instead of 4500X so a $15 bottle lasts 3 months
  • Our grocery bill has stayed pretty much the same from going to a buy whatever we wanted to eating healthy. Instead of doritos/cookies/icecream/junk food we put that money into whole foods and we still stay around $100 a week and that includes buying organic foods for 3 people
  • Yay for sure. we mostly go out once on the week end so I enjoy what I want in moderation, I am in a deficit but I make sure i do not go over my maintain goal for the day. that extra 1000 calories give me alot of room. Its always the appetizer that gets me every time.
  • one of my biggest thing to over come the whole gym thing was finding a good app on my phone to log my routine with instead of paper. I didnt want to look like one of the noobs walking around with pen and paper. Nothing against it, just not for me. I use "Free Gym Geek". It is a good app you can plug into 4 workouts into…
  • I bought one off of groupon for $15 including shipping
  • he has only ate his calories back once in the past 2 weeks and see several 1300-1500s unless he didnt track everything.
  • Eating organic is not that hard, but I am not 100%. All my whole foods are. Living in Indiana and being told by a farmer that he wouldnt even eat his own corn was a huge eye opener for me. But you can find non organic foods that are gmo free. I know Kroger has a natural section which you can check out. I think most have…
  • From looking at your food diary you only truly have 1 meal where you do have a decent amount of protein intake. Your calorie goal already has you at a deficit so you can eat back all of your workout calorie which would put you upto around 1900-2000 calories on days you exercise. Which is plenty enough room to get protein…
  • Mine is about the same as about the same as above about the 3weeks makes a habit except i did not cut out things from the get go. Pop i did switch to diet. During my main meals I did try to eat healthier but still had whatever i normally would. I started by just trying to eat breakfast. Cereal or oatmeal or whatever from…
