I'd rather be a good liver than have one! cheers!

I concur! It's never too soon/early!

I have scales that do the same thing - tell weight, bodyfat %, & water %. I have found the actual weight to be VERY accurate...the bodyfat & water though are ridiculously off (according to the scale, at my LEANEST I was > 26% bf) so as far as I'm concerned, ignore those numbers completely.

I'm kind of unclear on why what YOU wear on YOUR run is up to HIM to decide? F that; he needs to get over it. You're not moonlighting at a strip club and having random dudes using their mouths to put dollar bills in your g-string; you're going for a RUN, while wearing ATHLETIC CLOTHING. Maybe while you're out running he…

^^^ I'll second this.

I think you just won an award for my favorite post of the day... ...scratch that, favorite post of the week.

I've heard meth addiction is a great way to lose weight too. Maybe you should start doing that? I mean...it's easier than actually being disciplined and putting effort into your physical health and working hard to achieve your goals. Yup, that's it. Meth is totally the solution.

I wear headphones in the gym and pretty much tune out the rest of the world. If I see someone that I know, I'll give a nod to acknowledge them or whatever, but beyond asking for a spot, I avoid any actual conversation. Nothing personal.

There's some old saying that goes something like, "don't make someone your priority if you're only their option" Sounds like that's what's going on here...

buy a copy of "The Art & Science of Making Weight" available from EFS.

^^^ yup. In the past I'd drop 8+ pounds in less than 24 hours to make weight for competitions. Either your scale is a piece of junk, OR what you're claiming isn't water weight actually IS water weight, OR some combination of the 2.

32, AKA "not quite older than dirt, but getting there" here.

Generally speaking, I just fit whatever I want to eat, in moderation (definition of "moderation" may vary from day-to-day!), into my daily calories. Burger & fries Monday, fine. Pie for dessert last night, fine. Nothing is off-limits. THAT SAID, in the past I have used "cheat meals" - specifically when I was cutting for a…

I can kick my shoes off underneath my desk when I'm just working at my computer, but OSHA regulations say I not only have to wear shoes, but closed-toe shoes due to the machinery, chemicals, etc, if I go out into the factory area. at home though? barefoot for sure.

< 8% bf is not necessarily "what it takes." I'm a female and while I certainly have below 25-30% bf, I'm certainly above 8% too.

great job! congrats!

considering that soldiers often have to PT while carrying/wearing 80+ pounds in gear/body armor/etc....and obviously the "average" military member would be > 120 lbs bodyweight... there are very small/light people who can't run due to joint pain & there are people who are 200+ pounds bodyweight who it doesn't bother one…

I second this.

Bwahahahahah I love your ticker "brought to you by the IIFYM crew" PIZZA FTW

<----I HAVE been pregnant/had a baby. So, yes, "despite genetics" (which IMO is a total cop-out 90% (or more) of the time), you can have a flat stomach. Get liftin'

I typically get up around 4am on weekdays just to fit in the things that I care about during the day (which includes being a single parent & working 9+ hour days). If you care about something, you'll find/make time for it.

well thank you ma'am; I appreciate that! pssst...anyone...how do you make photos not HYOUGE when you post them? (not trying to hijack the thread here, apologies in advance to the OP)

I've never posted pics in the forums on here before, so here's hoping I don't F this up... OK let's see if any of that actually worked correctly...*fingers crossed*

are you deadlifting in a Planet Fitness? don't they kick you out for that? *LUNK ALARM*

it really just depends on my schedule & how the body is feeling...if I am starting to feel beat-up, I'll take a day off even if I'm "supposed" to train that day. And I train hard enough, consistently enough, that if I take an entire weekend off to just do stuff with my kid, it's not a big deal (but even then, we're pretty…

so I just threw up a little bit in my mouth
