Yes. I eat burgers, pizza, ice cream/milkshakes, cookies, drink beer, etc. If you're in a calorie deficit...you're in a calorie deficit.

^^^ this is what I do

I've seen them & several tattoo artists I know strongly advise against them, to the point that they refuse to do them. The primary reason is that over time they tend to get really discolored & end up looking pretty bad, especially if your skin is exposed to much sunlight, turns it kind of an uneven brownish shade that…

I have several tattoos & plan on getting more. However, due to my job/company policy, I cannot get any ink that can be seen by the public while I'm working, so arms etc are off-limits. I work with a couple of guys who are required to wear long-sleeves year-round to hide their tattoos.

This is just my $0.02 and maybe the Warrior Dash where you live will be significantly different than the one I did last year (North Carolina), but it really doesn't require much upper-body strength at all. There are some obstacles where you'll need to be able to "hang" (eg, moving across a vertical rope net) but being able…

I don't mean this in an inflammatory way, but you can either make excuses & find ways to NOT do something, or you can make it happen. I am the single parent of a 4-year old so I can safely say, "been there, done that." Set a nap time & enforce it (you may say it's impossible but I guarantee you if you put her in a daycare,…

Several people have already said as much, but it bears repeating....the above is HORRIBLE advice. Totally disregard.

Keeping visible abs & drinking craft beers do not have to be mutually exclusive. You can enjoy your food/drink & still achieve the body you want.

^^^ Truth (I've got a 4-year old)!

"Beer is proof that God loves us & wants us to be happy."

I'm the 32-year old mom of a 4-year old girl.

Lifting will definitely gonna help you reach your goals. Calisthenics is a great place to start.

there's nothing wrong with brownies & ice cream (except that I currently have none...might have to remedy that shortly).

one thing I really like is arm warmers cause you can remove them as you're moving (without having to pull anything over your head etc) and just stuff them in your pockets and keep going....

Not sure where you got that info - I have been through the Police Academy in NC (obviously different states have different GS so variances in what is authorized) & I can assure you that police officers are NOT taught to use "equal force or less force" when confronted with lethal (or any other) force. The use of force…

And once again, the mommy of the "victim" (read: criminal) is claiming her poor sweet angel baby son wasn't armed. Give me a break. And I'm sure that breaking into, setting fire to, & looting nearby-but-uninvolved stores is all in the name of justice, peace, & unity too. We have a saying: "play stupid games, win stupid…

If you're odd, I'm odd...I'm ~5'4" and ~ 145# and I'm well over 2000cal/day (was up at ~2500/day when I had mandatory PT in addition to the workouts I do on my own).

In the absence of a medical condition, you do NOT need to specifically cut out (or down) any particular food, food group, or macronutrient. Pay attention to overall calories & eat at a (reasonable, sustainable) deficit.
-
If I really want to eat something, I eat it. I just find a way to make it "fit" into my day...no deprivation.
-
Yup, I regularly lift 1st thing in the morning on an empty stomach. Not the end of the world.
-
I love carbs. With my whole heart. In the absence of a medical condition, carbs aren't inherently what's causing you to gain weight; a calorie surplus is what's causing you to gain weight. Sure, you may be getting those extra calories from carbs, but you can gain weight by eating at a surplus from any macronutrient (or…

Hickory, NC here!

I'm "overweight" based on BMI. pfffffft.

I baked a ridiculous cake this weekend...I ate a slice after lunch today. Not a big deal. It's all about moderation. You can completely eliminate all the foods you enjoy & be miserable (and then beat yourself up when you inevitably "slip up"), or you can find a way to make room in your daily calorie budget to fit in…

I'm 5'5" and ~145lbs, typically eat 2000-2500 cal/day

I'm 32 years old & very active; most days I eat in the neighborhood of 2500 cal, currently ~143 lbs with relatively low bodyfat.

I'm in a Police Academy. If you're late to a class for ANY reason 3x over the course of a semester, you're immediately booted from the Academy (1 verbal warning, 1 written warning, then you're gone). End of story. Many employers are the same way with people being late to work, eg 3 unexcused tardy punch-ins within a given…

Yup. It's perfectly legal for the KKK to hold rallies/marches too. Not saying that they're "right" (adjective) but they do have that Constitutional right (noun). Offending someone isn't against the law. There are plenty of tasteless bumper stickers, tee-shirts, etc out there. But hey, someone thinks they're funny. Some…

NO. I love me some carbs. Unless you have some medical condition that you haven't disclosed, there is no reason whatsoever for you to give up carbs.

Barbell Apparel makes jeans for men & women that are specifically cut for bigger thighs etc. They're > $150/pr though, so out of my budget right now but I'll get some eventually. Till then, I typically have to buy men's jeans just for the extra room in the thighs and then wear a belt to deal with the waist being too large.…
