I eat foods that I enjoy (Chinese take-out & beer right now). I don't think it's severely hindering my progress...there are ways to make "crap" foods work within your daily caloric allowance.

total coincidence, I'm watching the Brony documentary on Netflix right now.

congrats! Great job!

Even if the weight is extremely accurate, digital scales are NOT reliable when it comes to bodyfat %, etc; they typically put me anywhere from 26-32% bodyfat (which is WAY off base).

Speak for yourself! There are certain forms of exercise that I dread (but I do them anyway because I need to for my specific goals/program), but there's also stuff I absolutely love to do & get completely cranked up on it. I know plenty of people who are the same way - they are passionate about their training, but it's…

huge congrats to you sir! well done indeed.

Legality depends on where you live - where I live, as long as at least 1 of the parties is aware that the conversation is being recorded, it's legal (in other states, all parties have to be aware that they are being recorded). Also where the conversations took place (reasonable expectation of privacy etc). Sounds more like…

I agree. I am no longer vegetarian, but was one for 5+ years, and in that time frame competed in multiple sports, including powerlifting (which, by definition, requires strength).

^^^ this girl is awesome, by the way.

I typically run ~3:30 or 4:00 weekday mornings. It is VERY rare for me to see anyone else out on foot & on the odd occasions someone else IS out, they're normally either running/walking too, not smashin' bottles & raisin' hell in the streets. IMO most people who would seek to do you harm are not going to be out roaming the…

Unless I am feeling bad to the point that I can't be at work, can't play with my kid, etc, then yeah, I do my workouts as planned. If you're an athlete/team member, you can't pick & choose the dates that you train/compete; you can't tell your teammates, "no guys, today I'm not gonna train with you, I'm not gonna be there…

congrats!

great e-book "The Art & Science of Making Weight" available from EliteFTS.com http://www.flexcart.com/members/elitefts/default.asp?m=PD&pid=2848 no, it's not a crash diet & it is certainly not about lasting weight loss. It's about dropping weight (mostly water weight) to be able to get into a lower weight class for…

Maybe I read it wrong but if you've been doing this same routine of yours for 4 weeks and you're just now having these issues with it, then the chance of it being overtraining is pretty slim. It very well may be related to your TOM (lower iron can contribute to fatigue etc) and as someone else said, you may simply be…

congrats! keep up the great work!

Please distinguish between attacking YOU versus attacking YOUR STATEMENTS. I said that your CLAIMS are incorrect & absurd; I did not call YOU incorrect/absurd. The YouTube video that you posted does not prove anything to me; it contains incorrect information. Just because one bogus YouTube video (do you genuinely think…

Sorry, but you are completely incorrect. Your statements are absurd.

I eat food. Food is good. Absence of food makes me sad. I also strength train, typically 4 or 5x per week. Also short runs 3-4x per week (but not this week because I'm on vacation so lifted 3x and ran 2x....also kayaked, swam, and did a bunch of other fun-not-serious-hand-me-a-beer-when-I'm-done stuff).

^^^ Yup, camping at the beach is very low-budget. Find a buddy (or 2...or 3...) who would also like to go and ya'll can split the cost of gas etc too. Pack a cooler with sandwiches and other inexpensive foods so that you don't have to eat out the entire time you're there. A lot of campsites are like $8-15/night (some are…
