It's too early for today's... but last night I came home from work and put on a pair of Levi's NON-Stretch jeans in a size 8! Yee haw! OK - a bit snug, but they zipped and buttoned and I could still breathe! Walked the dog - in the rain! No excuses!

Way to go! Very inspiring!

Comparison is the thief of joy <-- Love this! I'll never be an elite runner, but I do like seeing little improvements in my time, my stamina, etc. It's a thrill. A small thrill, but a thrill! I went from walking 2 miles in about 40 minutes, to finishing the same 2 miles in 27 minutes. That''s more like a super-fast walk,…

By the way, you should NEVER ask a woman "when are you due" or "are you pregnant" unless she is screaming on the floor and you see the baby crowning...

You're the perfect weight for your height - if you were seven feet tall!

You just do what you can, friend.... and forget the piranha on here who just love to jump all over everything! It's OK to vent once in awhile!

Ditto the responses so far re: fear being normal! But really, the risks are minimal and manageable. For me, I was MORE afraid of the slow, insidious slide of my scale upwards! Too much stroke and heart problems in my family, and after 30+ years of losing and regaining he same 20-30#, after years on BP meds, after adding…

This! hahahaha! The cinnamon ones taste like an oatmeal cookie. The Coconut cashew is great too, and so is the apple pie. The double chocolate chunk is also very good, and the cookie dough? YUM!

Well, I'm healthier, and get more done when I DO work, and Ihave far fewer sick days, so it's a win-win, right?! That's my story and I'm sticking to it!

To get off all meds and that blasted C-PAP machine (DONE!) and STAY off them! To not be the THIRD generation to have a stroke in my family!

Yes! It was just chillin', watching TV with us! Threw a bucket over it, scooped it up, and back outdoors he went, post haste!

I weigh all the time, but log it only once per week, on Fridays.

Celebrate EVERYTHING! Numbers on the scale, but also NSV - looser clothes, better health, more energy, etc. It'll keep you going when the scales don't move! And I like the idea of 10# at a time... break it up inot doable smaller parts! GOOD LUCK!!!!

I'm the textbook "10 pounds equals one size" person. Lost 40, went from a 14 pant to an 8. Were your clothes too tight to start with?! Maybe they fit better? :) But yes, I lose EVERYWHERE - I don't carry my weight in any one area. I am fat all over! Maybe you are losing from one particular area. Don't give up! Your health…

Nice guns! Congrats!

Was just about to post this! They are great, aren't they? And 20+ grams of protein for the calorie hit as well.... If I have to have chocolate candy, a Lindt Truffle will usually do the trick! Just one small truffle will satisfy you more than a whole cheap candy bar, imo! 80 calories each.

Celebrate Non-Scale victories!!! Don't be slave to a number.

Jumping in mid-month! New to running - will aim for 20 miles!

My next milestone is to be in the 160's... even by a half a pound! I weighted in the 170's all through High School... over the next 30 years gained 40+ pounds. Lost that, but now would like to be LOWER than I was in HS! Why is this last 20# so hard???!!!

Hello ladies! I feel you all! In the same boat - friend me if you like! I lost a chunk of weight, but need to finish the job now. Not getti8ng any younger! Let's support each other!

My doctor doesn't even use the term "weight loss surgery." He considers himself a metabolic specialist. Metabolic syndrome encompasses a multitude of symptoms and health problems, only one of which is (sometimes) obesity. Just Google the term and you'll find many articles (such as the one below) on the subject.…
