Awesome progress!! Congratulations.

If you have a Talbots (women plus petite) outlet, you can find fantastic deals. I have gotten $10 jeans that look like I actually spent the $100 on them --- and work pants and tops also.

I really like my blender bottles (one year out). They mix up my protein drinks and keep them from ever clumping. I have about three smaller ones and three larger ones to rotate. Helps me out.

Wow! Everyone looks so wonderful --- and HAPPY!! Great inspiration.

I agree with ThinGwen in that you really need to sit down and write out these medical issues and discuss them thoroughly with your GP and surgeon. Any surgery will take a toll on your body --- both physically and mentally and this additional stress may cause you not to get optimal results. I was sleeved and took off about…

Best wishes on the surgery and recovery! Be patient with yourself.

I know it is very disappointing. I had a last minute medical issue postpone my planned sleeve (for what ended up being about 4-5 months). At the time, I felt really deflated and devastated but I think it helped me in the long run because I had a better recovery and no complications from the surgery. Like Rob mentioned…

Mine doesn't hurt but it does get pretty loud at times and feels kind of strange. I can definitely feel hungry at times too. I had hoped I wouldn't but I do.

Yes!! My coworkers laugh at me all the time about it. It happens more with certain foods and drinks.
-
Congratulations and best wishes on a speedy recovery. Take it easy and sip, sip, sip!

Chris - I would definitely keep a food diary and add in how you felt and any adverse reactions you have to foods and drinks. I would also maybe give things a second chance after a while. I found that my tastes changed several times over the course of the first year. Best wishes and hope that helps.

When I was so exhausted during that time, my nut advised to up my intake of shakes and drink more water. Hope that helps and remember, it is only one phase of the journey.

My rant: I have to have everything in line or else I don't go down one single ounce! Makes me very nervous about eventually maintaining. I am a year out. I get hungry. I can eat too much. I can eat too many carbs. Challenging to balance carbs with keeping blood sugar levels stable (and not go too low now actually). Even…

I used Unjury unflavored with Crystal Light. Also, Isopure Zero Carb.

Welcome! Zip lining sounds fun!! I will have to add that to my bucket list.

Welcome and best wishes! You can do this --- try the liquid protein plan and the pounds should come off quickly. It's the same as the preop plan and it IS rough and challenging but it works.

I take 10,000 mcg of Biotin (CVS brand) and I have not experienced any abnormal hair loss. I started at one month out and continue to take it today (just passed one year out).

For a long time, my surgeon's plan did not allow for milk so I used Unjury unflavored with Crystal Light. I would use 16 oz of water and two CL packs. I found after surgery that the fruit punch was too sweet tasting but the lemonade was good. I now can have milk so I like the Click Espresso protein powders in the morning…

Awesome!! Wonderful journey.

Hang in there --- you can do this. I, too, have found that I can eat more than I thought I would be able to and I DO get hungry (something others are lucky enough not to have occur) but it just means that I have to remain more conscious of what I am doing and not doing. If I follow the plan, then I do see loss. Stick with…

That is wonderful news! And you are so right...not only will you have a longer life but a healthier one as well.

Wonderful accomplishment!!

Wow! Inspirational!! You look amazing.

Paul - your post was inspirational. I have found that even though I researched and researched weight loss, surgery, etc., and knew in my mind that it was a tool (I was sleeved in 9/2014), I still did honestly expect that things would "magically" get better...just because I was losing weight. And some things ARE better ---…

Every day will get better and you will feel stronger. Isopure zero carb drinks are nice because they are not too sweet or thick and you don't have to mix them. They also count in my liquid totals. Sip constantly (it will seem like all you do is sip!) but that gets better too so hang in there.
-
I would keep a water bottle with me at all times (even taking it to bed with me so I would start as soon as I woke up). Sip in between the meals and times around the meals. It will seem like all you do is SIP! But it gets better. Hang in there!

Looking great!! Inspirational progress.

Inspirational victory! You look wonderful and healthy and happy.

Hi and welcome! I was sleeved in September of 2014. I am very happy with my journey to date. I tend to stall frequently and have a different story than some --- I DO still feel hungry and I CAN still overeat. Some don't have those challenges but I try to post my experience since I feel it helps to have all bases covered.…
